I cannot find anything negative to say about this fantastic hotel. The location is perfect for visiting Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau castles. The hotel room and bathroom were immaculate and the shower was excellent. The breakfast was an extensive choice of continental fare with eggs cooked to order and great coffee. We ate in the restaurant every evening as the choice of meals and desserts were varied and reasonably priced and it was hard to choose what to have. We arrived back from a day out very late with 15 minutes to go until the restaurant closed and we were still served dinner! It was also the first time we have not been charged for the fridge in our room in Europe which was a refreshing surprise. This is a family run hotel and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. We hope to return to Bavaria and we will definitely stay at this hotel again. I thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Great location. Very easy to get off the train in Fussen and hop on the 73 or 78 bus toward the castles. There's a bus stop very close to the hotel. We got off the train in Fussen at 11:55, dropped our bags off at the hotel about 12:30, hopped the next bus toward the castles and were at the castle ticket office at 1 p.m. (13,00).

We had a spectacular view of both Hohenschwangau Castle and Neuschwanstein Castle from the balcony of our room here at Hotel Waldmann.

The staff is very friendly and accommodating. We had dinner and breakfast in the hotel restaurant and the food and service were very good.

The room was very nice, modern, and clean. The beds were comfortable. My one complaint about the physical layout of the room is the wood corners of the king size bed are hard and sharp, and I bashed my shins on those wood corners of the bed at least 3 times in 24 hours.

Although they have free WiFi, they require a separate user name and password for each device, and pretty much every time your phone goes to sleep and you open your phone screen again, you have to reenter the user name and password and log-in again. It's an inconvenience, but it's manageable.

All that being said, I would happily go back here to stay again.

This hotel is by far my favorite in all of Germany! My fiance proposed on the balcony of room 11 overlooking the beautiful castles! We had dinner at the hotel and the schnitzel literally brought tears to my eyes. The dessert melts in your mouth! The staff is incredibly sweet and welcoming! We plan on returning for an anniversary trip! <3

We stopped for lunch on our way back to Pfronten. Just took a chance because the hotel looked good.

And it went very well. We had some excellent deer and some good wine. Along with an amazing Black Forest cake. And some great espressos with ice cream.

Very charming restaurant with good tradition. The service was excellent and with a smile. Totally recommended!
