A first class restaurant, weighted toward meats and game (typical of this region of Germany). Our party of three had a vegetarian pumpkin ravioli, roast beef, and shrimp, all creatively prepared and delicious. But the desserts were even better: a berry creme brulee that was one of the best we've ever had (and we've sampled this dish in many fine restaurants in the U.S., from San Francisco to Nantucket), a buttermilk waffle with cinnamon ice cream, and a complex lemon tart concoction with rich whipped cream. I'm not doing them justice. Suffice to say, it's rare in our family to order three desserts and no one wants to share what they ordered! Highly recommended. Better to sit in the dining room and not the bar.
