Overall an excellent hotel in a peaceful location, just a short walk from the centre of town and its shops, bars and restaurants.
Positives - Staff were all welcoming, helpful and multi-lingual. Pleasant garden at the rear with stunning uninterrupted views over the Val de Bagnes. Parking on site was handy, good value and reservable.
Breakfast was comprehensive continental style although with no cooked option apart from DIY boiled eggs. Fresh fruit salad at weekends turned into canned fruit salad during the week for some reason. All other breakfast items were fresh and of high quality. Room also included a kettle and small fridge which was a plus. TV came with a full range of UK channels along with the usual European options. Lots of wardrobe space in the room. Very spacious room overall.
Negatives - As previous reviews have suggested, some rooms (ours was 309) are a little tired (faded carpet and bathroom would benefit from a refresh) but nothing too dreadful and otherwise spotlessly clean. Lack of power sockets (we only found 1) was a slight issue for charging our assorted electronic devices.
Like many other hotels in continental Europe, it was let down by allowing inconsiderate guests to smoke on balconies (fire safety??) and close to other outside doors - cigarette smoke wafting into the breakfast room or bedroom was particularly unpleasant.More
