My wife and I went to Kalaya for lunch. The restaurant is perfectly situated on a street corner directly opposite the château. There was a choice of 4 different dishes on the set menu - we chose the ravioli with 4 cheeses (17 francs), and the venison (21 francs). Each dish came with a salad - smothered in dressing whether you wanted it or not!
We then waited 30 minutes for our mains, which wasn't acceptable considering (a) they were set menus, and (b) there were only 2 or 3 other diners in the lounge.
The meals were tasty and of decent proportion, but the venison was very tough - in fact, I couldn't eat one of the medaillons. My wife pronounced her ravioli to be very filling.
Possibly because of our long wait, the restaurant was generous in providing us with a second bread basket while we waited.
Something I found disconcerting was the number of flies in the dining lounge. I would have thought this basic hygiene issue should have been addressed well beforehand.
All in all, an average dining experience. I wouldn't be rushing back to Kalaya.
