We arrived for a pre ordered lunch as were a reasonably large party. Drink orders were taken and delivered efficiently which is not easy to such a diverse group. The group had chosen either starters and mains or mains and puds. Unfortunately not everything of one course came together and there was some waiting time and those without starters waited a considerable amount of time for the mains to arrive. The garlic prawns were worth the wait though! Maybe those on main and pud could have had their main served at the came time as the starter although I appreciate the difficulties for the chef. However, this way those having puds would have finished at the same time as those finishing their main after the starter. Complicated I know but it didn't spoil the day as the food was good, particularly the fish and chips, although burger a little dry. Pud selection was good but some of the more popular items had finished by the time we got to ordering them but our second choice, the chocolate brownie was to die for so all was well in the end!Large groups are difficult and hard work so many thanks to Vanessa and your team for an enjoyable time.

Hi,

Thank you for taking the time to write your review and I'm glad that overall you enjoyed your meal. We often have groups whereby some have starters, all have main and some have a dessert. We tend, like most places, to serve starters, then mains, then dessert, but had you said you'd rather those not having starters have their mains at the same time as the starters, we would have been happy to do so.

Thank you again, hope to see you again soon!

The whole family comes here a lot, and we all take friends here separately. Lovely area, lovely staff and decent food. Service can be a bit slow at times, but the area is beautiful and the glass surrounding means you can watch the world go by happily. Would and have recommended.

Thank you for taking time to write a lovely review. Great to hear you like what we have here as much as we do, we love hearing that people recommend us to their friends. Unfortunately due to the small size of the kitchen, on busy days service can take a little longer but we hope you understand, the demand sometimes outweighs the space!

We hope to see you return again soon!

We love this place!
We live locally and love to take our kids for food and then hire a rowing boat.
Today my husband and I went on our own and had a fabulous cooked breakfast then kayaked to Bodium.
Great place, very friendly staff, wonderful food at very reasonable prices (the brownie is amazing!)
Highly recommended for a great day out!

We enjoyed our meal so much that we have booked for my birthday. Absolutely delightful staff and owner. The food is Spanish based, although other options are available and freshly cooked. Comfortable dining in a lovely space. Only open until 6 most days so don't expect supper!

This is a real discovery. Super location next to the river. They hire boats. Organise boat trips. The view from the cafe is lovely. The food is so so good and really affordable prices. Husband and wife team clearly investing in building a great business. We will use it a lot now.
