We enjoyed a great birthday dinner there with the family, during our visit from Holland. It was a Monday, and it was very quiet, but the host was very welcoming. I was surprised about the big menu; was not expecting this for this relatively small bistro-style place. Lots of fish dishes, which is to be expected for this sea side area. I could not make out from the menu which fish was a local catch - would it not be good to add this info to the menu?
The pictures speak for themselves: the chef is an artist, with a passion for what he does. I wanted a medium rare steak, which in Australia means you need to order them rare. And it was great! One of the best steaks I had in Australia.
The proud chef I could not see in the side salad. As nice as our plates were, the more dull was the salad. Didn't look nice, and the sauce tasted like it came from a bottle in the local supermarket. Room for improvement there!
Will be back.
