Took 30 mins for someone to take our order. He didn't write it down then about 10 mins later a different waiter came to tell us he needed to take our order again only this time wrote it down. Very small portions and steak very tough. Website asks what occasion you are celebrating. Ticked anniversary but not a single acknowledgement. What's the point if asking?? Overall extremely disappointed and overpriced.

I was very disappointed in the Christmas High Tea on Sunday 29 November. From the moment we arrived, there were problems. First they couldn't find our booking. Then they sent us, despite my declared and obvious disability, to the furthest table in the room. They then proceeded to ignore us and serve everyone around us until we finally managed to catch an eye and ask to be served. The young woman snapped "Did you order??" No, because no one had come near us!

Ordering involved nominating tea or coffee. When the tea arrived, far from being freshly brewed as described on the website, it was a teabag in a half-full tin pot, and it was lukewarm. This is _really_ not acceptable! At a High Tea, particularly one costing $66.50 a head, I would expect a decent pot of tea: leaf tea in a china pot. Unlimited refills are usually available, but the website stated that extra tea had to be purchased. I don't think there was enough staff to provide refills in any case.

Apparently the coffee was OK.

The scones and cakes were meagre, apart from the mince pies, which were good. The savoury items were better than the sweet, but my companion's vegetarian alternatives were totally unsatisfactory. She was served a wrap with baby cucumber pickles, and a bun with a bit of rocket and about eight more baby cucumber pickles! In this day and age, and at that price, it seems reasonable to expect something quite a lot more fresh and imaginative.

This was meant to be my Christmas present to my sister, but the occasion was memorable for all the wrong reasons. Definitely the worst High Tea I've been to.

Lovely venue
The place was well presented and the food was wonderful. Interesting selections that did not disappoint. Service was a tad relaxed and could be polished a little to increase the overall experience.

We came here in a group of 7 for a birthday dinner on a Saturday night. There were a lot of other tables with a number of tables being very large groups that looked like work end of year parties. They were not rowdy, but the number of people in the restaurant made it very loud.
The meal was very enjoyable. We had a charcuterie board followed by 3 courses. The highlight of the food for me was the chocolate dessert.
The staff were very busy and that meant that a couple of drinks orders were missed but they proactively fixed that.
All in all we had a very enjoyable night.

6pm start so with daylight saving lovely view of the surrounding gardens and vines.
Lovely atmosphere among 90 people who obviously by the feeling on the night really enjoyed themselves.
Italian Ambassador present and spoke- nice touch
Service was great for a large crowd and wine to match the various dishes that were explained to us by their expert representative.
