El Porteno is open 7 days serving fantastic flight coffee and amazing food. If you have not tried the cheese scones.. I suggest you do... Toasted.....

I come here with my daughter and friends and we love it. They have a great toy box for children and a highchair. The scones are the best EVER and the coffee is scrumptious. I try to limit myself to only come once a week. Always come back and bring my friends and family.

Not really a negative other than size. Food ,coffee and friendly staff make this café worth a visit.

Love popping in here for my daily caffeine fix! Fast service, excellent Flight coffee, lovely friendly staff, reasonable prices. Although famous for their cheese scones, I find the muffins are delicious, with an ever revolving selection of flavours baked daily (I've pretty much tried them all, and can highly recommend them!) The empanada's are tasty also, a good lunch option. El Porteno fills a niche in Tawa as a small surburban cafe with character.

This place is small and always busy, very likeable couple that run it. Great coffee and eats. In nice weather it is lovely to sit on seats outside and watch the traffic go by.
