We stayed at Punga for one night as part of our walk along the queen Charlotte track.
It's such a cute resort and I loved the way it is set up very in keeping with the natural environment. The staff are soooo friendly, relaxed and authentic. They really can't do enough for you.
The spa and pool were a welcome treat for our sore legs.
Our room was the champagne suite and was surprisingly large and nice and quiet and private.
A big highlight was the food. Gourmet cuisine made by a chef who clearly takes pride in his work. I have some weird dietary requirements and he was so accommodating to adapt for me which is often not the case even in the middle of the city let alone the middle of no where. The lamb that my husband had he claimed was one if the best meals he had ever had.
Would have been nice to have more options of wines by glass other than house - a wide selection if buying a bottle but not a glass.
Fantastic breakfast buffet the next morning too - such a wide selection with something for everyone.
Thanks for a great stay.More
