We have just returned from a wonderful few days at the Burnside Hotel with our sister and brother in law.
We received a very warm welcome by Minty who looked after us so well during our stay, nothing was too much trouble and we were all upgraded to a superior suite which was a lovely surprise. Our rooms (3 and 12) were spotlessly clean, very spacious with a huge comfortable kingsize bed which had high quality bedlinen on. Lovely soft towels and nice toiletries too!
We ate both breakfast and evening meals in their restaurant on both days. The menu offered a varied choice for everyone, the butter chicken was amazing !
AJ looked after us in the Saddles Bar and had a great knowledge of the various wines and drinks they offered. All the staff were wonderful and couldn't do enough to make us feel welcome and special.
The hotel is a 20 minute walk into Stratford or if you wanted to taxi it was around £10.
We will be looking forward to going back again this year as it's one of the best hotels we have all stayed in for a long while!

We were taken here for a short break as an anniversary treat. It's a lovely hotel. The room was gorgeous, spacious, clean with lots of little touches. It was quiet and we slept very well. The staff are friendly and professional, nothing was too much trouble. The food was gorgeous. The seabass was tasty and the Sunday lunch was enjoyed by the rest of the party. Breakfast was good, I had continental (cereal, then yogurt, fresh fruit, pastries and toast) There always a choice of hot breakfast too with coffee and fruit juice. The hotel is a short walk to the centre of Stratford which is lovely too. We will be back a sit is a great find.

Room tip: Room 5 on the ground floor is grsat

The opulence and majestic charm of Burnside engulfs you from the minute you enter the hotel. The Brookside cottage welcomes you to the property washing away the urbane rat race with an overwhelming Shakespearean countryside charm. The staff is warm, accommodating and does a good job at personalising your stay to make it all the more memorable. The room was impeccably clean & we couldn’t find anything that was amiss or not in excellent functional order. We thoroughly enjoyed the scrumptious lunch from the Sunday menu and I would strongly recommend the Chicken and Apricot Terrine as well as the Pan Fried Sea Bass. The property ideally located being a short 5 minute walk to Anne Hathaway’s cottage and the Shottery town centre. I am definitely going back for another break from the insanity of life in London and would strongly recommend the Burnside to anyone looking for a refreshing break.

Stayed for a weekend in April and enjoyed an amazing couple of days at the Burnside Hotel. Service was first class throughout from the receptionist, restaurant and bar staff
We enjoyed a fantastic meal in the restaurant on the Saturday night and can highly recommend the fish cakes and authentic Rogan Josh. We stayed in Room 2 and everything about the room oozed comfort and luxury.
Would recommend and will definitely be staying again... congratulations to all !!

Room tip: Room 2 was fantastic
