We stayed here on the 14th and 15th July 2017, what a great place as soon as we arrived we felt at home, all the staff were very good, we had a ground floor room in the Lodge it was lovely plenty of room for us with our dog Ted, everything in the room is of good quality, very little sound from above, would ask for same room next time, the food is very very good breakfast and dinner was great on both days,we met our brother and his wife there who we had not seen for 4 years, so very emotional weekend, Sorry we did not to meet the owners Ian and Carol, so we will have to go back with the little present of Welsh Whiskey we took for them

Room Tip: We had a ground floor room, it was fine very littlt noise from the traffic or people above

Found ourselves in the area today and asked a few locals for recommendations for Sunday lunch. This came up as one of the favourites so checked it out.

Lovely "local pub" feel but not so much that you felt out of place at all. Just a lovely english pub feel.

Very reasonable prices for drinks and food. Sunday lunch was a fresh carvery but roast potatoes were of the frozen variety not fresh - not a massive issue as they were good quality not cheap and nasty! Loads of meat and overall very tasty.

Staff were very friendly and accommodating and the darker haired young waitress was brilliant with my little boy.

The normal menu for this place looks lovely so will definitely go back to try the food again.

Our daughters booked Sunday lunch here fairly last minute for Father's Day, a table for 8 adults and two children. Our reserved table was unfortunately in a conservatory area on a very hot day. The staff were very willing to move us into the bar area and this was done speedily. The Carvery was super fresh, lots of choice and very good quality and tasty.my husband even learnt what a 'Henry' was.....orange juice and lemonade!!
Our twin grandsons were very tired and hot and weren't behaving at their best, so our daughter decided it would be best to take them back to our holiday cottage before finishing her meal. The staff happily boxed up her meal providing fresh vegetables with it. In summary lovely quality food, a friendly pub with great staff, I would highly recommend a visit there.

Spent great a week here. Ian, the landlord, and the staff are really friendly. The lodge has nice rooms with comfortable beds and the Inn does good food. The public bar is a bit snug at times but there's a nice beer garden for the sunny days. Dogs are allowed in the lodge and the public bar
