We have been going to the Pataros Hotel out of season for several years and have loved it every time. The hotel has had a total makeover this winter completely refurbishing the rooms with bigger windows and balconies and new furniture, transforming the bathrooms into designer status. Everything has been done with real taste and top end fittings. There are even bright reading lights on both sides of the bed - unusual in any hotels.
As ever, the very large pool is a great convenience with sun and shade all day. Everything is immaculately clean and looked after very well by the accommodating staff who are a big part of the secret of the success of this outstanding hotel.
Prices are excellent value for money - £30 for a large double (fridge, balcony, A/C) in high season with breakfast and the super pool.

Room Tip: Rooms on the top two floors at the front have best views.

.....Fortunately, not everything....Still the same kind, professional, can do family...... Still the same wonderful breakfast with Mums home baked surprises..... Still the same huge pool in a lovely calm peaceful setting.......
But the rooms! Wow, Osgur and his team have worked all through the winter to give you quite a transformation. Every room now shouts boutique hotel with the right balance of minimalist design, comfort and luxury. All rooms are have white walls and linen, the subtle use of pale oak slab shelving, walls almost completely glass windows and most impressive of all, the new bathrooms. Here you will find high quality white porcelain fittings, heavy chrome, walk in rainfall showers....and plenty of hot water! If you are on your first....or second! .....Honeymoon, then ask for room 301 on the top floor. This has beautiful pale grey slate tiling to the floor and walls, two huge floor to ceiling windows and a double width balcony. The walk in shower could accomodate a cocktail party for eight...if you are that way inclined.... Or if just two of you...... Nice.
I challenge you to find in this area a more up market offer.....for less. I am here for the whole Summer again........ But just couldn't wait to tell you.
If I were a Doctor, I would write you a prescription to stay in Patara. Its the perfect place to relax, reflect and recharge. With 4.25 Turkish Lira to the Pound at the moment..... Why aren't you here?

Really liked this place even though work on refurbishment was not quite finished when we got there. The rooms have been very well done to a high standard and are very comfortable with lovely ensuite bathrooms (super showers). The owner Ozgur was very accommodating and all the staff there are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is a pleasure with lovely homemade produce - although no juice which would have been nice for children. Lovely pool but a little to be done to pool area - new umbrellas etc and there is potential for a nice seating area overlooking the pool. This is a very relaxing place and I would go back there happily. Patara is fantastic for the ruins of the amazing Lycian city which has and continues to be excavated there - it is amazing. The beach is lovely and the area is not very developed so great for people who want to be away from heavy tourism. Some fantastic places to eat the village too. Get some decent mosquito repellant though!

I have stayed there twice already and will do so again when I return in september. Ozgur and his family are great and nothing is to much trouble for them. They speak perfect English and are really relaxed and friendly. The swimming pool is excellent and you can actually swim in it. The dinners they can prepare for you are excellent thanks to the mother's superb cooking. The rooms are clean and plenty of room and the rates are very good both for families, groups, and individual travellers. And now that they serve proper coffee at breakfast is perfect. (not a fan of nescafe).

Room Tip: Higher floors at back now have private balconies and are bigger than some on the front.
