After reading a few rather varying comments about the rooms since the refurbishments have been completed we were a little apprehensive but the time we have just spent at the Villa was great. Staff ,food and all buildings and grounds were even better than in the previous nine visits and we hope to return next year. Being sure that our holiday is being treated with the respect that we feel is apparent here is very important to us

have stayed at Villa del conde many times. The excellent standard and traditional style of this hotel is totally to our liking. Very interesting architectural design is varied throughout the complex making a very large hotel with its many differing areas seem intimate in the extreme. Its very well run and the staff could hardly do any better. The many pool areas offer whatever you want including sea views with shops and outside restaurants just stroll away along the promenade.
Guests seem all very contented and no wonder because the service is faultless and the facilities clean and well run.
evening entertainment is varied and good quality even if not what you would choose.
Another excellent holiday - we will be back.

Highly recommended this hotel food was 100% satisfactory the staff could not do enough for you but give you space at the same time. Pools for all ages lots of space around the pools it didn't feel like you sitting on top of each other. The rooms are big very clean and comfortable with are own dressing room in it. We went to the spa amazing. We have already been looking on booking again to go back thank you for a fantastic holiday

Meloneras is a great place to stay and, of the numerous hotels along the Boulevard and around the area, the Villa del Conde is by far the best. You see the same staff year after year and they will all admit themselves as to where the Lopesan Villa del Conde sits with the other hotels; No. 1.
The standard rooms are very good but if you want to improve your scenery, go for a deluxe sea view room, you will not be disappointed. You are spoilt for choice in respect of restaurants in the area if you choose to take bed & breakfast; however, we chose half board and the food selection was incredible.
I think I'm right in saying that there are five pools located around the grounds including a salt water pool. Lots of niches in which to sunbathe and, usually, plenty of sunbeds around; if your away from the pool bar, they have a waiter service around the grounds.
The 'back gate' takes you onto the Boulevard and a 10-15 minute walk takes you into the heart of Maspalomas with shops, bars and restaurants galore.
With regard price, it is on the expensive side but for what you get compared with other hotels, it is well worth it.
We'll be back, as usual.

We’ve recently returned from our annual visit to the 'Villa', on what has become our regular ‘chill’ holiday. As ever we enjoyed the break and were sorry to leave at the end of the week. The standout feature of this hotel has always been its staff, and we were not let down as once again everyone we had dealings with was friendly and helpful. They really are a credit to the company and the hotel.

Check in was fast and friendly (as was checkout when the time came to return home), and a request regarding the room which we’d made via the hotel website a few days before travelling was accommodated, which was nice.

The rooms have been refurbished since our visit last year (when the work was in progress). The newly-decorated room had a huge double bed, which was very welcome since one of our few niggles previously was that we always had two single beds pushed together. There’s a bathroom with separate shower and bath, a dressing room and the bedroom/lounge. The size of the accommodation is larger than average. The previous tiled floor now has a wood laminate covering which is nicer to walk on and presumably has been done partly to address the noise transmission issues which have been a problem in the past. We had no-one above us, so I can’t vouch for the effectiveness of this. The dressing room now has more usable drawer space and more hangers. The main living area has the TV on the wall opposite the bed, and a small (and frankly pretty pointless) fridge which contains drinks that are not complimentary. There’s a small table, a sofa and a couple of chairs, plus a balcony with table and chairs. We didn't have any problems with the 22 degree aircon, and were not too hot at night.

The rooms, pools and grounds are maintained to a very high standard and are spotless. We stayed around the quiet pool mostly and found it relaxingly quiet, unlike a previous reviewer. The loungers are comfortable and the pool water pleasantly warm.

The food is very good. It’s a buffet (the only way to feed so many people). The breakfast range is huge and I really can’t imagine anyone not finding things they like to eat! Likewise, the choice at dinner is extensive. Much of the food at dinner is freshly prepared as chefs griddle meat and fish continually throughout service. There’s a good range of salads, while the fresh meats are complimented by a range of casseroles, paellas, pasta dishes and vegetables, most of which are definitely not fried in oil, which a previous reviewer says they experienced. In fact the only fried items were those you’d expect to be prepared in this way such as chips and the relatively few items presented in breadcrumbs or batter. There’s a decent choice of desserts to end the meal with. The only niggle about dinner is the two-sittings system, which I really can’t see the point of and serves only to cause queues!

The after dinner entertainment was generally mediocre, unfortunately, except for the Friday evening rock band who were excellent. However the drinks service in the central plaza and the bar was good. Drink prices are lower than in some of the nearby bars, and the measures are very generous.

Overall, the hotel exceeded our expectations and we intend to extend our stay from a week to ten days next year.
