The hotel was okay. We stayed there for 3 nights for the Guitar Festival. Probably my two main complains are that the WiFi didn’t work well (most of the day was down- which they said is normal in Coria), and the access to food at the hotel through rooms service or at the restaurant early in the evenings, was not existing. The restaurant opens at 9pm and although it sure serves the best food we tried in our Extremadura trip, it was just too late to have it.

This hotel is located in the former episcopal palace right in front of the massive cathedral. Since it is on a plaza there is plenty of parking. In fact we parked right next to the entrance. This hotel is all about location. Spectacular views of the Alagón River are only a few steps away and you can walk around the narrow streets of the old walled town, which is filled with well-preserved stately homes of the sixteenth and seventeenth nobility. The people at reception were friendly and helpful. There is a high-quality restaurant on the premises although we didn't eat breakfast there preferring to have coffee and toast for 2.20EUR at the small cafeteria.
Not really a four-star but comfortable nonetheless. Access can be a problem at first especially if you have a large car since the streets are narrow and maze-like. This of course is not the hotel's fault but that of medieval planners who had no idea later generations would drive cars much less SUVs.
