Owner description: The Causeway Coastal Route is a designated scenic tourist drive around the coast of Northern Ireland between the cities of Belfast and Londonderry. The route follows the coast and takes you to several major tourist attractions along the way including The Giant's Causeway, Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, Dunluce Castle, The Old Bushmills Whiskey Distillery and the Glens of Antrim. There are also nine scenic loop roads that run off the main Coastal Route. These are: Islandmagee, Slemish Mountain, Glenariff, Glendun, Torr Road, Glenshesk, Bann Valley, Binevenagh Mountain and the Roe Vally. One of these (Torr Scenic Road)is quite narrow so do be careful if your not used to our small roads, one tip is to pull in your wing mirrors on the Torr Road.

We drove to giant causeway following the coastal route with my godfather and his wife. We had a really great time. I would recommend this trip for families, I am a young tuber aged 12. So have loads of fun in your life and experience as much as you can of our natural wonder.

The best bit by far is the north coast either side of the Giant's Causeway but is a must if you are in Northern Ireland.

We took a few days to follow our route up from Belfast to Derry, stopping overnight where the fancy took us. Lots to see, very nice

Along the Port Path, quite fittingly, too - from Portstewart to Portrush and right down to the Giant's Causeway, is a dream route for runners, walkers, tourists and travellers! Had the good fortune to enjoy a drive as well as (long) runs and walks along this beautiful road. On a clear day, one can see across to the islands on the Scottish coast. Birds such as Oystercatchers and Stonechats are common along the craggy coastline.

Along the way, Portrush and Bushmills are pretty towns to stop by, especially in Bushmills where you will be thoroughly entertained at the Bushmills Distillery. One can take their tour, complete with a wee dram of quality Irish single malt. Highly recommend for all classes of travellers!
