Beautifully surrounded by countryside The Throckmorton is a perfect getaway. The building ooze’s character and comfort whether it’s the open fire in the winner or vast decking in the summer. Rooms are spotless, beds are snug and amenities thoughtful . Lovely touches throughout. Breakfast is excellent and parking plentiful.
Despite the current climate I was most dissatisfied to be informed at 9.40pm after a tiring day at The Cheltenham festival that the bar was closed!?!
I personally selected a licensed establishment to have the option of an evening drink. Unfortunately the location is rather secluded and I felt that for Residents this was unacceptable.
Overall good valve for money but lacked atmosphere n the eveningMore
