Ok, before the moan about the exploitive pricing by Centre Parcs at every opportunity... we did have a great short stay. It’s a nice setting and you feel like you have gotten away from the real world.
I would describe it as a bit Alton Towers mixed with a bit of Westfield Shopping Centre, with a twist of the Eden Project and topped off with a little John Lloyd.
You just go with what it is but 5 days is enough! Our toddlers had a wonderful time.
Even though you are in the middle of a forest, it always feels more of a dressing to the complexes. There weren’t any natural woods walks, cycle routes to get away from it all. Everything seems to converge around the complexes.
The pools overall were great but shockingly small changing rooms. The pool has varying depths at unpredictable intervals which is dangerous and when the wave machine is on the main pool safer zones change to the most dangerous areas which isn’t great for toddlers.
My advice is to plan ahead, do a food shop before you go and take your own bikes. Otherwise expect to pay £6.30 for a small pancake with sugar and lemon as your starting point.
