We stayed over having had dinner the night before, and this place is amazing. The staff are very polite and helpful, the room was very clean and comfortable with a four post bed. Definitely will be coming back soon.

I come back for my birthday every year with friends. Just love this place. Nice range of food quality service and nice setting. Shame I can't visit more often. I would if it was nearer

We come here at least twice a year. Ideally we like to stay over with the family joining us. The food is superb, lovely staff and a wonderful cosy old English setting. We never get tired of coming here, but only on very specials occasions. The rooms are lovely and the breakfast in the morning is the simply the perfect way to start your day! Absolutely love the place !!!

Our group of 10 friends were seated in a private room. The greeting was lovely, at the door, and we were shown to the lounge. Olives and nuts were delivered while we chose drinks and food from the extensive menu. A pianist played throughout the evening and the roaring fires would generally be welcome in October (it was a very warm eveing)

The 7 courses were varied and substantial. From dover sole to château briand, derbyshire lamb rack, turkey and chicken

Lovely sweet trolley and petit fours to finish

Had a fantastic experience celebrating a birthday the food and service were excellent and as always never failed to ensure the occasion was memorable.
An absolute gem hidden away in the Peak District will look forward to the next evening visit.
