We had a wedding to come to in Sudbury, and the Cock Inn was recommended to us. We were warmly greeted by the lovely landlady, although there was an initial disappointment when I asked where the bar was, and was advised that they de- licenced a couple of years ago, and so there is no bar! However, there was a perfectly adequate pub across the road. We were given our keys to our rooms, and they were absolutely fine. Perhaps a little attention to detail such as hooks on doors, and a loo seat that stays up would be of benefit, but the room was clean, warm and comfortable. We got changed, went to the wedding and then had a good night's sleep. We were shown to a lovely room for breakfast, and the food was excellent ( I went for the large full English). We were well looked after by the landlady and her assistant and they were clearly very keen to give a good service. The Cock Inn is in a lovely little village, with other small villages nearby, and so there are lots of places to explore. As a budget accommodation, I would not hesitate in recommending this place, and you will be assured of a warm welcome.

We booked a room here when in the area for a friends wedding. The rooms were tidy and clean and the breakfast was good. Proper full English good coffee and tea. Cheap and cheerful and would recommend.

If you are after a tranquil place for a night or two, that serves a lovely breakfast then you must try this place. A warm welcome upon arrival was just what was needed.

Room was very clean and tidy and the ensuite was manageable, given that I am a tall person. Only issue I had was the warm towel rails made the ensuite quite hot.

Choices for dinner are within the village or a short distance away in Long Melford. Recommendations were offered by our host.

An ex pub - now just a B&B.

Paid £45 for a twin room for two, including breakfast. (Room 3).

Room 3 in building across yard from main building. Well equipped with comfortable beds. Friendly staff. Excellent cooked to order breakfast.

Take care leaving - exit has high walls either side and exit goes straight onto the road.
