We travel all over the country visiting hotels and B and Bs and were thoroughly mpressed with The Cock Inn. The proprietor, Debbie and her staff could not do enough and definitely went the extra mile.

The rooms were clean, well appointed and extremely comfortable with excellent (free) wifi. The freshly cooked breakfasts with a lovely cafetiere of coffee really set us up for the day.

Would highly recommended and we would definitely return if we were in the area. Do not be put off by the unassuming exterior, this B and B is a little gem!

The B/B was once an old pub. Nice premises. Nice location. Staff very friendly and helpful with a good breakfast. Would have been a perfect stay except for the massive boiler housed in a cupboard in Room 4, which churned away ALL through the night and made the room extremely hot, which we did not realise until late in the evening as we had gone out and come back late, or we would have mentioned it. Was really tired and returned home the next day to sleep instead of continuing our sight seeing in Suffolk.

We had a wedding to come to in Sudbury, and the Cock Inn was recommended to us. We were warmly greeted by the lovely landlady, although there was an initial disappointment when I asked where the bar was, and was advised that they de- licenced a couple of years ago, and so there is no bar! However, there was a perfectly adequate pub across the road. We were given our keys to our rooms, and they were absolutely fine. Perhaps a little attention to detail such as hooks on doors, and a loo seat that stays up would be of benefit, but the room was clean, warm and comfortable. We got changed, went to the wedding and then had a good night's sleep. We were shown to a lovely room for breakfast, and the food was excellent ( I went for the large full English). We were well looked after by the landlady and her assistant and they were clearly very keen to give a good service. The Cock Inn is in a lovely little village, with other small villages nearby, and so there are lots of places to explore. As a budget accommodation, I would not hesitate in recommending this place, and you will be assured of a warm welcome.
