We spent three nights here and were very pleased with our choice. Our room was large and comfortable and everyone was extremely accommodating and pleasant. This is a small hotel where the members of the staff perform multiple functions with ease.
We were warmly welcomed by Siobhaun at the front desk, who also served us breakfast on two mornings. Colin helped us to get our substantial luggage up to the room and also was our waiter and bartender in Casey's that first evening for dinner. He is an excellent bartender and knows how to mix a Perfect Canadian Club Manhattan, by the way!
I had injured my hand at the beginning of our trip in Dublin and Siobhaun very kindly made an appointment for me at the local clinic in Kenmare to have the dressing changed. No request was too large or too small at this lovely, well-run hotel.. The manager, Pat, was more than happy to change our room reservation to the larger family room due to my injury, even though we had booked a smaller room on their advance payment program, which would not normally allow for changes.
We had dinner two nights in Casey's and both were excellent. We spent two lovely days touring the area with Paul Brown (see my other review for him) and loved staying at the Brook Lane. Kenmare is a wonderful town with many interesting shops and excellent restaurants. It is well situated for touring the Dingle Peninsula and the Ring of Kerry and is not as touristy as Killarney.
We would not hesitate to return to this hotel and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.More
