We stayed in the Alpine Guesthouse when we were on our Rick Steves 14-day tour of Ireland. The is a bathtub in the bathroom, but no clock in the bedroom. Our room was on the top floor on the left end as you face the guesthouse; and we had wonderful views out over the entrance to Dingle harbor and over the town of Dingle. Breakfast - cold buffet and hot items from a menu. The WiFi hot spot was rather intermittent. Guesthouse is just a short walk from the center of Dingle and there is a small market just down the street from the guesthouse.

Stayed here last weekend. Comfortable rooms, lots of parking, excellent breakfast, and close to town. What made the difference for us was the staffs attitude, they were so kind and friendly, two small examples;

1. I asked for an iron and ironing board as I needed to iron my shirt; one of the staff (a lady) even offered to iron it for me
2. We arrived downstairs late for breakfast and they made us something without any issues.

Both these made a big difference to our trip, and it's a big difference staying in a hotel and somewhere so charming & friendly - hope this continues

We found this B&B in our Rick Steves Ireland book. It was incredibly reasonable and so we had two rooms, one for us and one for our daughters down the hall.

We were in a room on the corner and thus had great cross breezes so it was very comfortable with the windows open in the late afternoon. The walls were a bit thin so that I could hear someone snoring in an adjacent room late one night. The room was kept tidy and clean and the staff was friendly.

We parked our rental car in the good-sized parking lot and walked everywhere. It's convenient enough for Dingle yet just far enough away from the center of town that you're not bothered by the music or crowd noise at night.

Breakfasts were tasty and plentiful with a good selection to please everyone in our family. I would definitely recommend the Alpine to anyone looking for a homey, family friendly experience in Dingle.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the first floor (second floor US) if you're traveling with heavy suitcases sin...

Great place to hang your hat for a night or two. The owner was great, providing a delicious breakfast of course. Really nice guy interested in making us feel at home. There are old books and pictures to check out in addition to the great view from the grounds. It is a very short walk to the center of town so just park and walk on down. Glad we ended up here.

Very good location, big parking lot, reasonable price, clean. No elevator so if you're on the 3rd floor with heavy luggage it makes it more difficult. Friendly, easy-going dog sometimes greets guests! Opt for the rooms with 2 double beds and a queen size if you can- very spacious with large, nicely-tiled bathroom. The regular rooms are very small and the showers are tiny. Thin walls.
