A great family run hotel. Food was excellent not one complaint. Staff very attentive to all our needs re. meals. En suite shower/bath hot power shower. Only hotel in town but they go out of their way to make everyone welcome. Thoroughly recommend.

Huge but cosy old hotel with very nice rooms and kind staff. The hotel is situated very central in Ballyshannon and has a nice parking place in the backyard. It is like going back in time to stay at this hotel.

Mary and Ben are so kind and so lovely, you’ll feel like family when you’re staying here! The hotel is gorgeous and decorated thoughtfully and beautifully with antiques that add to the ‘old world’ charm, and the entire place is spotless. It’s in walking distance to everything (right at the center of town in Ballyshannon with a beautiful view from my room, 306) but the true highlight is them – they are so very welcoming. I can’t imagine staying anywhere else. I was in Ballyshannon to resolve a family property puzzle which was giving all of us a headache and Mary and Ben were incredibly supportive and helpful. Dorrian’s Imperial is truly a gift. The food for breakfast and dinner is excellent, the staff is very friendly, and they will serve food in the bar (most places in Ireland seem to require you drink in the bar and eat in the restaurant, and that’s not how we roll in America so it’s great find a place where you can drink and eat at a bar in the evening like at home).

Ballyshannon is home base for me in Ireland. My Dad’s family is from this beautiful old town, said to be the oldest town in this gorgeous little country. There is so much history here for anyone to explore. It’s worth a visit coming in from the States. Mary is very knowledgeable and she could not be more helpful. And Ben is so nice and he can sing! I loved their pub around the corner. I wanted to move into the loft!

I spent a few nights B&B and I will definitely be back. This is by far the best place to stay in Ballyshannon – it has all the accommodations and features of a hotel and all the comforts of feeling like home.

Just spent St Patrick's weekend in Dorrians Ballyshannon. Wonderful break away. Hotel is a little bit dated for my usual taste, but it adds to it's character and charm. Room's are huge, and I was fortunate enough to get one on the corner so had a great view down the main street toward the Rory Gallagher statue. Dining room and the bar are comfortable and well laid out.
The staff are amazing. Couldn't do more. I had a reservation for the restaurant and was delayed beyond its normal closing time. Was this a problem? Not at all. Staff were friendly, polite and incredibly helpful.
I'll likely be visiting Ballyshannon regularly and will make a point of staying in Dorrians.

Stayed here with my wife and her parents for one night. The staff were very friendly and helpful upon check in and the rooms were nicely presented if just a bit outdated. If you're looking for a quaint hotel with good hospitality and great food and even better drink it's definitely worth a look. Food and drink very reasonably priced and the breakfast and dinner was great. What it lacks in luxury it makes up for in personality. 8/10 only the decor let's it down. But if you're into old timey hotels then this is perfect for you

Simon,

Thank you for your constructive report on our hotel.

We have a market that likes our hotel and another that would prefer the newer type of hotel. This hotel is
was built inm 1781 and Ballyshannon is a heriotage town.
Perhaps, we may see you on another occasion....
