We stayed here for a night on our driving trip around Ireland. It's tucked away behind the old Abbey. The house is old and smells that way. Our room was decent enough - could have used more light. We were welcomed by John and later met Christine.
They were very accommodating in getting us things we didn't have and the breakfast was terrific. They even offered to send us on our way with fresh fruit. Not sure I would seek out this place again if in the area but it was OK for one night.

This big white house is included included in some of the Boyle Abbey postcard photos. The rooms were large and elegant, and ours included a full bathtub - - something we hadn’t seen in other B n Bs. Christine obviously loves children and she and her son John were very forgiving when our little guy broke a glass vase. A perfect Irish breakfast. Then we enjoyed going through the Abbey, right next door. John recommended that we eat Clarke’s - - great call.

John welcomed us in and was helpful and attentive. The house is huge, old, and well kept. The house shares the grounds with a 12th century abbey, and has the Boyle river running through the property. John and Christine are wonderful people and make you feel like one of the family. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and will fuel you for a day! Make sure to stay a couple days as the town is lovely and the hosts are excellent.

John and Christine were very nice hosts! Christine's breakfast was delicious and John brought much laughter to the conversations. The house is beautiful - we only ran into a few hiccups - the toilet didn't flush regularly and the tv was very small. The house is in a perfect location for visiting Boyle and a short drive from Carrick On Shannon.

This is an amazing old home in an amazing location. We couldn't have been happier with our accommodations. We spent a full week at Abbey House while visiting and touring the area. John and Christine made us feel right at home in their lovely home - spacious rooms, comfortable beds, delicious breakfasts, convenient location, and the breath-taking beauty of the Boyle River and 12th century abbey makes Abbey House THE place to stay in Boyle. We will return!
