I was booked into a 'corporate' room, which is laughable, it had a very dated and well-used interior, offered nothing extra and had a very small desk area and mismatched chair in terms of height/comfort/ergonomics. The wifi internet was atrocious, basically completely unusable outside of the occasional google search when it decided to work for a few minutes. I ended up using an extra data package from my phone provider to get work done.

Privacy may be an issue in those rooms facing the housing estate, I woke up after a nap to find this an issue with someone from a rear window having a look... A simple net curtain (pretty standard in most hotels, but absent here) would remedy this. Towels, although laundered, had obvious stains. The light in the bathroom was pitiful (single, poorly fitted fluorescent over the sink). A lightswitch fitting beside the bed had a 3 inch hole beside it (see photo). The water was off one evening and the fire alarm in the room went off at 4am one morning, neither with any explanation. The majority of hotels I have been to, even in this '3 star' and below category, tend to leave a note of explanation and apology under the door for such instances, but this didn't happen. Also absent was a simple drawer in which to put clothes (shirts could go on the hangers but everything else had to stay in the bag).

I did have a meal in the bar one evening, a burger and fries, it was fine but nothing special. The pint was OK and the price wasn't extortionate. There is plenty of free parking and its location is good.

All in all though, for the price, it just isn't appropriate and a real let down.

Nice hotel,a little noisy if at the front of the hotel, but well placed for the airport. Good size rooms, pleasant staff, well priced. Overall a good economic hotel. Would recommend as an overnight stay if late flight into Shannon

We stayed for the night after landing late in Shannon. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and the room was a good standard.

Breakfast was varied (although not extensive) and there's an adjoining pub which also serves Costa coffee. This was perfect for my wife who fancied something hot whilst I had my Guiness!

Room Tip: We had a room on the ground floor away from the restaurant and bar so it was nice and quiet.

On our trip to Ireland we checked in on 17 th June in Shannon Springs. We had taken two rooms as we were travelling with 2 children . We were allotted room no. 212 and 213. The children excited went to see their room 213 but were horrified to see big spiders on the bed. They ran to our room and refused to go in that room. When we complained to the hotel they had it cleaned and sprayed. The children were afraid to go in that room so slept with us . We thought at least we will use the shower of 213 but to our dismay next day morning when we went for shower in room 213 no water was coming . We complained, the housekeeping said that water pressure was low so in the morning time water was not coming that side ,as other hotel guests were also using shower. But as we were in a tour with Sotc we had to leave early by 9am and so could not use the shower all 3 days. That room was a total waste for us. When we asked for refund the receptionist said that we should go through the agent that is Sotc. Sotc Mr Tejas also did take much effort and the matter is still pending . I would not suggest this hotel to anyone. The hotel management don't care about the reputation of the hotel. Our holiday mood was totally spoilt.
