We spent four nights at the Seaview Hotel. The staff were friendly and welcoming the room was very big and clean, with a great view out towards the bay. Both the breakfasts and evening meals were very good, although dinner was slightly on the expensive side. The management and staff were always on hand and were very attentive. i would recommend this hotel.

Recently dined with 5 others in the restaurant, did not stay in the hotel. His was the worst dining experience of my life and my fellow diners were in agreement. Food was not freshly prepared but was reheated as evidenced by cling film on the serving dishes. This was institutional food at its worst.

Kathleen, the owner, who always ran an excellent ship has retired & has now handed over to a nephew, Ronan who seems very personable. We have dined at Seaview several times over the years & it always comes up trumps in terms of good old fashioned sophistication but when we visited the other day I must admit to leaving with a feeling that it had gone rather expensive & now question the lack of value. We did have one pre-dinner & one post dinner drink (no special drinks & something that we always done) & had only two bottles of reasonably priced wine between 4. Two of us had only two courses & two had three courses ....the quality was excellent as always but with smallish portions all round & the bill came out at Euro75 pp. We will return again but will look more carefully on pricing.

Myself and my wife spent 2 nights in the Seaview Hotel recentlyand had a lovely break . The Hotel is old world and a bit old fashioned but the food and staff are fabulous . The accomadation is comfortable and spacious. We stayed an extra night as we were really relaxing in the surroundings and enjoying the West Cork experience . Well worth a visit .

Kathleen O'Sullivan runs a wonderful traditional Irish Manner House. In the old style tradition of handling every detail and looking after all your comforts. When we told her the story of my daughters lost birthday cake she made us one. And gave it to us for free. When the local laundry was closed her staff did our laundry. Breakfast was wonderful, dinner was wonderful. Tea was always available and so was the bar and a warm fire. We stayed at Dromoland Castle and The Shelbourne in Dublin all three are Irish comfort at its old world best.
