"Outsiders" Well that's how you are treated here. If they are so sick of people visiting because of the fame brought by The Field they should put a sign on the door. The staff and locals totally ignorant and unfriendly.

Nice old pub in the middle of the village. Their “special” toasted sandwiches are the BEST. Crammed full with cheese, tomatoes, onions. Their chips go very nicely with them!

On our trip along the westcoast we tried this famous pub for a drink.
surprisingly it was deserted although there was an important football game against denmark on tv.
The lady behind the bar was busy with her phone and hardly looked on us.
in the back a few youngsters played pool. one of them constantly screemed and yelled hyterically. although i have two vivid teen sons i really got annoyed.
the barlady couldn‘t care less.
my 18 year old son was distracted by the ignorance. a pity as the pub is a fine place. no wonder it is empty. the good days are long passe...

We stopped off at this pub for a lunchtime beer so unfortunately we didn’t get to enjoy an evening here. The pub is full of character and knowing that it has a cinema history makes it also special - nice place to stop off at either way

We were delighted to come here with its great history. This is a warm, friendly bar with a delightful turf fire to welcome us as indeed were those who looked after us. We had a delightful homemade soup. There was eating and drinking in it with the dark brown bread which accompanied it. We shared one sandwich and again this was generous. The prices were kindly as indeed were the people. Thank you!
