Visiting Cullompton we almost certainly head up to the Keepers as they accept Dogs! Given the current climate it’s always hard to eat out with a dog as not many places accept.

We have always been pleased with the service and food supplied from the Keepers. The portions are always plentiful and usually offer a great array of foods. We struggle to have Starter Main and Dessert due to the sizes of the hearty main meals. The pies are amazing and we’ll recommended.

Price is average, drinks are plentiful with a good stocked bar and the food range is always good with a generous specials board.

Will attend again!

Thank Christopher W

Service was ok but not friendly. Very disappointing meal. I had liver and bacon with onion gravy. The liver was obviously ox liver which is the cheapest but the meal wasn`t cheap. Won`t be going there again even though we live locally.

We live in Devon, there was no warm welcome when my wife and I arrived, for dinner.
The bar maid / waitress seemed indifferent, it was a cold day and the heating in the pub obviously hadn’t been put on in time to warm the old building up. The log burner was lit but again not in good time, therefore the pub temperature was as warm as the welcome.
As with other reviews on here we weren’t offered any salt, pepper, mustard or sauces so found some ourselves.
The chips are the usual frozen ones (what happened to good old home made chips)?
Food is apparently sourced locally, my burger, off the special board was tasteless and dry in a dry toasted bun.
My wife ordered steak pie, presentation was 0/10 as it looked as though it had been dropped on the floor and plated up again!
Her dauphinois potatoes tasted of peroxide, the cream had curdled and the side of veg were over cooked.
During the meal we weren’t asked if everything was ok, again indicative of staff that don’t care. Clearly apparent when we commented on the foul tasting potatoes to be told by the bar maid “the chefs tasted them and she said they are ok”
I would not recommend this quant old pub and unless they sharpen up their act it won’t be long before it becomes another closed pub!
This place would be an ideal candidate for Gordon Ramsey!

I emailed ahead asking for a nice table for 2, for our Anniversary Meal.
We were totally spoilt, our table was even decorated.
Food 5 stars, portions 5 stars, staff 5 stars.
I think you get the point I am making.
5 Star all round service.
Even the taxi firm "Jolly Jaunts".
When we are next visiting the area we will definitely be coming back.
I will try and leave room for a pudding next time aswell xxx
A very very Big Big Thank You from me and Cara xxx xxx

We hadn’t booked as assumed there wouldn’t be a problem getting seated on a Thursday afternoon but it was very busy which is usually a good sign. We managed to get seated straight away but would advise booking in future to avoid disappointment.

Very quaint setting and delicious food. Only snapped a picture of my fiancés meal it was a large portion but i couldn’t wait to get tucked into my meal.

Highly recommended!
