Even though the Hotel looks creative on the outside, the inside is normal. The roms are big, nice enough and clean. The breakfast is good, average. Bring earplugs, because you hear the guests in the Hotel very well. Doors slam, you hear people talk from all neighbouring rooms and telephones that ring.

We enjoyed our 3 night stay here. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. the staff were friendly. It was quite busy in the breakfast room while we were there as there was a conference of some kind. Nice and close to town and restaurants. Free parking behind hotel. Great value for money.

My family stayed 3 nights at Fuchspalast as our son took part in the Ironman at nearby Klagenfurt.
The hotel is in St Veit an der Glan, only 25 minutes from Klagenfurt and was an excellent base for the competition.
As for the hotel, it is very unique in its look which is a positive. The rooms are very clean and of good size, whilst the breakfast which we ate on the last morning was of good variety although this wasn't included in the price (this cost €9.50 each).
St Veit is a lovely town in itself which has a few shops, a pretty square, a retail park with supermarket and restaurants in the centre (Toscana was great).
A nice town in a lovely country and the Fuchspalast is recommended as a good base.

Beautiful kitsy hotel in a quaint town. The town does close up early so while the shops are closed, you can still walk around the town square nearby. It is a colorful place with a lot to take in. Definitely a one of a kind. Owners and staff are very nice and accommodating. Cute fish pond outside the rooms.
You should know there is no AC in the rooms. It was quite warm the night we stayed. We opened the windows fully, but air just doesn't seem to flow in. So our room was warmer than the outside. We also were serenaded by a dog every couple of hours or so and had the outside noise.
The hotel had great wifi. Nice sized bathrooms of European design (open shower, no fan). Ours had two glass blocks between the bathroom and sleeping room so if anyone went in, it does light up the room a bit.
Overall a neat place to stay. Rooms were clean and beds comfortable. Restaurant food was good.

Basic mid range hotel with the rooms being adequate and the breakfast fairly good with a good selection. Stayed here on a business trip for one night. Hotel is in a very good location with easy access to everything. Free parking in secure parking area next door.

Room Tip: Walk into the square in town, there's some good bars and restaurants
