I keep pinching myself and telling myself "wake up! I can't have been that good!", but then I sit back, sink into the joyous memories of a truly wonderful meal and admit that, this was certainly one of the most enjoyable evenings I've ever had in restaurant!
It's a small and intimate place, pretty inaccessible too, perched in the stunning hilltop village of Labro - which is itself a real treat to visit.
The service was faultless, the wine list was mindblowing, the menu exciting and tempting, the little extra between courses offerings were delightful, and the consumate skill of the kitchen staff evident in every detail.
Highlights:
Fresh pasta with nettles
The light and aromatic carbonara sauce.
Pigeon - crispy, yet succulent and juicy
The wine recommended by the staff "Montiano" by Falesco. I will definitely be trying to buy a case of this!
All in all, a fabulous restaurant!

It is a very small place in Labro run by a friendly man who knows a lot about wine! The owner has his own wine cellar, where you can select from like hundreds of different kinds of wine. The food is great in the restaurant, with a local flavor. Absolutely enjoyed it!

Really one of the best high end cuisine location in Italy. Suberly run by Valeria (chef) & Mauro (Sommelier). It's a treat everytime one goes there. The menus are always original, fresh and inventive. Mauro's wine cellar offer some of the best local and Italian wines, plus a selection of aged cheeses. Must make a reservation as it sits max 12/14 people. MUST go.

In this little, remote village oof Labro, not far from Rieti and lake Pieddiluco you MUST go go the enjoy a suberb meal at Boccondivino. As usual Valeria and Mauro's cuisine is exquisite, simple but with a touch of fantasy along with fabulous ingredients (bio and non bio). Mauro's cellar has a selection of unusual and very good wine from all over Italy, plus a wide selection of "grotto" cheeses....a treat.

I went to Boccondivino for the first time in 2011, and my heart was warmed by the personalized service, quaint and charming ambiance, and delicious, local, creative food. It is a gem in a town that already shines like a diamond.

Labro is a quaint, ancient town with a population of only 30 or 40 people, and it will steal your heart; Boccondivino is no exception. I am a vegan and the restaurateurs, Mauro and Valeria—as long as they are notified in advance—were willing and extraordinarily able to deliver a delicious vegan meal, not to mention vegan cookies made on the spot with chickpea flour, sugar, oil, and raisins.

The produce they serve is local, and the service they provide is kind, courteous, and professional. Valeria, a native of Sardinia, is a magician in the kitchen, whipping up meals that are Italian in nature but have a creative flair added to them. Flower petals on black rice was an unforgettable dish, not to mention Brussels sprouts soup, which was, without a doubt, the best soup I've ever had. The Sardinian crispy flatbread is also not to be missed and comes with every meal.

Do go and enjoy a unique experience, where you will be catered to and waited on hand and foot. They treat their guests as somewhere between royalty and family—either way, you cannot go wrong. Do also ask Mauro for wine recommendations; his knowledge of wine is impeccable. Buon appetito!
