This is such a beautiful place I'm surprised there are so few reviews. Maybe everyone's trying to keep the secret to themselves!?!? We stayed 5 nights as a family with young kids and grandparents and everyone enjoyed themselves.
This is a hundred year old cottage restored lovingly by Corinne and Ronnie the owners exclusively for the use of their guests. It's not a real working farm except for the horses which are doted upon by their daughters, so don't expect flocks of sheep and coops of chickens, but we enjoyed the company of the assortment of animals e.g. Alpaca, cow, sheep, goats. It was good enough for us to have a first experience of farm and country life. The cottage was old-ish which took a little getting used to but was very cozy and we felt like we were being transported back in time to olden farming days! It was such a memorable experience feeding the animals daily, looking for eggs in the coop, picking grapes to eat, and walking down the river with the curious horses looking at us from within their grazing areas.
Corinne is such a sweet lady who was so kind and friendly to my two sons! :) every afternoon my oldest would go "aunty Corinne aunty Corinne are you feeding the animals now" ..
Highly recommend this place to experience country life. Do not expect top-notch room service or the cleanest house. This is the country life! Be prepared to step into all sorts of poop. That's the fun of it. Would be good to have someone who can cook, then u can enjoy dinner watching the sun set and listening to the animals just outside. If u drive, it's very close to many Swan Valley attractions. Try to stay at least 3 days to really get a feel of the place!
