Only staying at this hotel for one night but we will come back. We are staying here as we visited the Philippi Archaeological site and have stopped off on our way down south. The archaeological site is a must and this hotel has really rounded the day off beautifully situated on the hillside overlooking Krinides, the Acropolis of Philippi and the plains and mountains beyond. What a stunning view.
We were welcomed by 'Bill' who showed us to our rooms on the third floor which had balconies overlooking a Krinides and the plains. Such an expansive view.
The rooms and hotel are spotlessly clean, beds comfy, bathrooms modern and clinically clean. My only complaint, the shower heads are too low for me at 6'2". Aircon is also good and modern.
Restaurant on 2nd floor has a large concertina window that opens along the entire length of the front with views out over the plains. Truly lovely on a summer's evening watching the sun disappear behind the foothills. Food was delicious and not overpriced 7-20 euros for main courses, worth every penny. A fantastic evening meal.
Two teenagers travelling with us were highly impressed with this hotel which is saying something. No pool but fab base for a few days.
Do not hesitate to book this hotel, ask for a front facing room with balcony.

Well worth the trouble of finding this friendly hotel with great views of surrounding area, set on the hill side of a small village. What make this place so good is the combination of the friendly owners, the fantastic breakfast, nice rooms with a great view, and good food.

Although it is away from the city centre, this hotel offers a tranquil place in the village with a beautiful landscape. The view is very relaxing and you can see children playing football in the field, people working in their gardens while you are eating your breakfast. The breakfast is satisfying with a great variety of local lspecialties like lokmades with honey...They use the vegetables grown in their organic garden, and also you can taste delicious organic jams. The owner Panayotis is a mathematician and he is a great host and a well educated, intelligent man. He advised us a great beach club, and he gave the exact directions. His wife is a very nice lady. He knows a lot about ancient Greek history and Alexander the Great. Highly recommended!
