This was a spur of the moment dinner with friends who were on a barge trip
We arrived without a booking but the staff were very accommodating and gave us a table in the garden very lovely looking over the canal
I cant fault the food and staff we all enjoyed the evening

Great location & easy access for disabled in a wheelchair. The food was good if somewhat expensive as were the drinks. We will visit again when next in the area.

We had a lovely meal out at the Navigation last weekend. We had all 3 courses. All food was of good quality with great portion sizes at reasonable prices. We also enjoyed a lovely bottle of wine. Service was good. The only thing to note was we were sat right next to the kitchen which is open to the restaurant and the chefs were larking about a bit and making a bit of noise which wasn't great whilst we were trying chat and enjoy our meal.

Thank you for your review, we're glad to hear that you enjoyed your meal with us and that the service was good. However, we are disappointed to hear that the noise from the open kitchen slightly hindered your meal. Whilst we think that the open kitchen adds to the ambience of the restaurant, we do understand that in this instance it could have been avoided.

We hope that this didn't put you off and we look forward to welcoming you again soon.

Best,

Polly

We arrived at The Navigation to celebrate my mother in laws 83rd birthday and having never been before, we were delighted by the feeling of calm and relaxation that we got as we walked through the arched hedges into a stylish outdoor dining area beside a picturesque spot on the canal.
The staff were very busy, helpful but not welcoming.
We had a lovely canal view from our indoor table and one main meal out of four was good. Everything else was pretty terrible. The calamari was awful. I think it had been re- cooked/heated a couple of times and was like a deep fried elastic band in brittle batter. My father in laws pork ribs were dry and the fish and chips also seemed re- hashed with brittle greasy batter and a handful of cheap chips.
This meal was expensive but not of a good standard....... never again will we be going there.

Tried this restaurant following recommendation frI’m a friend and we were not disappointed. The party included 3 generations including someone with a gluten intolerance. With the menu so varied we were all spoilt for options. The food was very tasty and enjoyed by us all. And the staff were very helpful and attentive. Would definitely recommend and look forward to visiting again.
