Everything you would need from a holiday home. Clean, cosy and well equipped Perfect base for us visiting family in Leverburgh. Central to the village, close to the pier and the famous Butty Bus where we had a tasty fish supper. The local grocery shop the Clachan is in walking distance and the beautiful beaches are close by car. Northton beach is 10 mins down the road and Scarista beach is only 20 mins away with the famous MacLeod Stone. We made the annual family pilgrimage to touch the stone. We hope to be back next year!
Lovely clean house and beautiful location, owner very friendly. Could do with a better shower and it would have been excellent.
My wife and I booked Anglers View to be near Leverburgh Harbour and the departure point for St. Kilda. There was no feedback on Trip Adviser, so we were rather nervous when we arrived. It was wonderful - exceeded our highest hopes. Beautifully presented, spotlessly clean, all with a splendid island welcome from Joan and her husband. The location is great. We ate every evening in the Anchorage restaurant which is a very short walk away. No need to go any further. The Temple Cafe, 5 minutes drive away is a great spot for coffee or a light lunch. The trip to St. Kilda is amazing, especially on a magnificent sunny day, which we had. Anglers View comes HIGHLY recommended. Thanks Joan.
We were the first people to rent Anglers View. Joan and James are excellent hosts and were very friendly and helpful. The cottage has 3 lovely bedrooms and will easily sleep 6 people. It was a real treat to have an ensuite Shower Room and the jacuzzi bath in the main bathroom is very relaxing. The house is well equipped and very comfortable. The garden is very safe and pet friendly, there is a private patio with seating that is very sheltered.
Leverburgh is an great place to base your visit to Harris, it has an excellent local shop which has everything that you need. There is also The Anchorage restaurant which is excellent seafood restaurant and bar down by the ferry terminal and boat trips go from the harbour.
Our four night stay was insufficient time to really do the area justice and we will definitely be back for a much longer stay next time.
