We came to Skopelos because we were attracted to the fact that it seemed more rural and green than the other Greek islands. And we were right. Mando Beachfront is a great example of this. It is not your typical blue and white Greek hotel, but more informal and natural.

We stayed in the 2 bedroom villa and loved every moment - we didn't want to leave! The villa was beautifully done - the bathrooms great and the beads comfortable. We ended up self catering because the kitchen was so good and the food in the supermarkets was lovely.

We didn't have breakfast because the area was over run by wasps/bees and my daughter is allergic to them. So we bought food at the supermarket and had our meals in the villa.

The view from the lounge and one bedroom is stunning and we spent time sitting and reading on the sundeck, admiring the view.

We also enjoyed the deck area that had been built into the rocks at the sea. Although the walk back up the hill is a killer (not great for really young kids or the elderly)!! We used to go down there in the late afternoon to have a swim and watch the sunset - pure bliss.

Jason was wonderful - he fetched us from the ferry and organised a car for us to hire (arrived within 3 hours of us arriving!!). We hired a Fiat 500 from Magic cars and it was perfect for 4 people - convertible, so we could enjoy the beautiful weather of Skopelos.

I would definitely go back for longer, as I loved the place and I loved the beaches of Skopelos.

Great location with sea views and tidy, clean rooms, especially for the price paid (Sept '17). Loved the ducks mulling around on the lawn and found the breakfast outside enjoyable with adequate choice to set you up for the day.Loved the walk down to the waterfront where you can swim in turquoise waters entered by steps down or diving in off rocks (so not really suitable for young children) which can be a positive. Situation is idyllic and an ocean of calm, with not too much going on in the area, although would definitely recommend local taverna. We had a small jeep to explore the island & this base was great location with the hora, a 5 minute drive. I believe there are regular buses at the top of the road to transport you to different places around Skoplelos. Jason the owner, was on hand to advise us of places to visit and walks, which we followed up on and spent an amazing day on secluded beach with the most beautiful waters I have ever swam in.

Room Tip: I think all rooms have a view, good to be on first or second floors to get a better view

We have just spent two nights in this hotel and loved every minute of it. The view on the sea and garden is amazing ( beautiful view too from the economy room on the ground floor) . If is very quiet and relaxing. A little path leads you to a private beach on rocks where there are loungers and umbrellas. Swimming there was such a delight . The beach nearby is nice too but not as special ! The rooms are very comfortable and beautifully decorated . I particularly enjoyed the bathroom which has a great shower and appreciated the use of a safe in the room. The breakfast taken in the beautiful garden is one of the best I have ever had. Lots of different cakes and pies all home made , jams made from fruits from the garden. Amazing! Sitting in that garden did feel like being at home and the welcome and kindness of Jason made the whole stay very special. We can't wait to go back .

A lovely small hotel. Great bedrooms with amazing views. Excellent shower room. Fridge and kettle provided. Just B&B....but an amazing Greek style breakfast. All home baked. Run by Jason and his mother. Nothing was too much trouble.
No pool but steps down to some platforms by the sea. Where you could swim. Not easily accessible for elderly or infirm.
Great Taverna 10 mins walk away. Thoroughly recommend. Would go in June next time to avoid the wasps!

We were here for 4 days and stayed in very nice villa with panoramic view. The view is just great and you have an opportunity to spend time at the villa during afternoon hours, when it's too hot outside. Rooms are very comfortable and everything is really convenient. We also liked the beach. It's rather small, but cosy and beautiful, with small terraces. You can relaxed alone with nature.
