Traditional piedmontese food served in a relaxed context. Great quality, nice and prompt service close to the extraordinary Vezzolano Abbey. The house specialty is fritto misto, but everything we tried was remarkable. High quality, low price. Ideal for family celebrations. I wouldn't recommend it if you are looking for a romantic dinner out, but for all other situations this is a fantastic place.

We arrived for lunch on a Wednesday at about 1pm and had to wait 15 minutes for a table. This passed pleasantly sitting on the terrace with a beer for my husband and a glass of sparkling white wine for me. We then went into a rather gloomy restaurant. There was no menu and we were served with hard boiled eggs on a bed of spinach, then some thinly sliced veal with a tuna sauce. This was followed by the best ravioli I have ever eaten, fine and silky with a sage and butter sauce. We refused a meat course but couldn't refuse a home made vanilla ice-cream on a chocolate biscuit base. All this was washed down with another beer and a half carafe of good red wine and finished by two coffees. The quality of food was exceptional and the service friendly smiling and efficient and in spite of the decor the atmosphere was warm and lively. The total bill came to 24 euros, we couldn't believe it.
