Inside the medieval village of Recetto di Candelo there is this fascinating reastaurant, made of stone and built around an ancient winepress. It's really a suggestive location, ideal for any occasion, from romantic dinner to friend's brunch or family lunch.
The staff is very professional and very kind. The handshake of the owners at the end of the meal was really a pleasant thing. Just like the charcuterie plate offered to apologize for the delay of the main course (delay even perceived).
Our main course (a plate of wine and cheese rice served on a parmesan cheese basket) was one of the best rice plate we have ever eaten. The same thing was for the charcuterie plate.
Regarding dessert, the menù is really inviting. The meringue basket with berries was amazing (very good taste and great presentation). Not so however for smooth strawberries, which were few and presented in a way too simple for a restaurant so attentive to detail. This however is the only slightly positive note, about a restaurant that deserves to be tried.
The wine list is adequate for a restaurant which focuses mainly on tourists.
Excellent value for money.
