My wife and I decided to visit Lac Brome to celebrate our 21st wedding anniversary. We found the reception staff very friendly and helpful, our room was large, clean and had a balcony with a pleasant view of the lake. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant and found the food and the service to be excellent.

Room Tip: Front second floor or above rooms have the best views - traffic noise after 2100 hrs. is negligible.

Enjoyed a one night stay here. Small but adequate rooms; hot breakfast provided but at a cost of $25 for two. No elevator and 3 floors made for a tough time for luggage. Wonderful bar and great woodwork interior

It is nice to know that you were entirely satisfied with our services, installations and amenities. We do have an elevator in our hotel and 5 floors. Why do I call it an average hotel, well because in m,y opinion it is, after traveling all over you get to know what is an average 3 stars or a 4 star and more type of place to stay. Let me go by steps,. 1 - Hotel staff, very nice / 2 - Hotel room, average, we had a lake side view and where situated on the first floor, we could hardly see the tip of the lake. So if you book, make sure you are on the 2nd or 3rd floor if you want to see the lake. There was 2 small fridge in the room, not sure why, but 1st one did not work, and the 2nd one kept leaking water on our food and drinks. There was also a SAFE in the room which did not work at all, the rest was ok,. / 3 - They say they have a SPA, because the give feet massage, and other services,. they also have a small whirlpool, but the dam thing is facing a wall, with 2 small windows beside it,.. me and my wife could not believe it, nevertheless we did not use it because it did not look clean, so we just used the steam-room. As for the lake side, there was 2 small chairs with a small table on a dock, which was falling apart and nails sticking out, so we where just careful not to hurt ourselves and enjoyed the temperature. This is why I can rate this hotel more than 3 stars. The rooms for Lake shore view on the first floor are not worth the price asked for, which i think is $200+

Room Tip: If you want lake side view make sure you select the 2nd floor and up

We are truly disappointed to read that your visit at our hotel with us did not fully meet your expectations. It is not in our habits to offer an experience like the one you describe. To start, we would like to clarify some aspects with you. First of all, we are not sure to understand your comments concerning the spa as it offers to our customers almost 2000 square feet on 2 levels and feature 9 treatment rooms; a water therapy room with Vichy rain shower, 2 couples treatment/massage rooms, change rooms as well as group manicure and pedicure areas and finally, a hammam, sauna and hot tub. However, we are sorry to read that the cleanliness of the whirlpool did not meet your expectations and a follow-up will be made with our team. Moreover, we would like to assure you that we will also make a follow-up concerning your room’s fridges and safe situation. On a more positive note, we are happy to read that you received a professional and helpful service from our team. As we truly have our customer satisfaction to heart, we invite you to contact Mrs. Mélanie Brunelle, Room Division Manager, at hebergement@hotelsuiteslacbrome.com if you would like to discuss your experience with a member of our team. In hope to hear from you soon, please accept our best regards. Mélissa B.

Respectfully, I do not consider this to be a 4-star hotel. It's a little rough around the edges.

The room quality seems to vary, so the reviews may reflect that.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The beds and pillows were very comfortable, so we slept well. The bathroom was rather small and outdated.

Room Tip: When booking, speak openly about the type of room you want, as regards size of bed and whether you want a modern shower.

My wife and I visited the hotel in late March. A snow storm had replenished the hills and the hotel had a late season sale on mid week rooms. Monsieur Stephane was the evening manager and he was both friendly and informative. The hotel is located about 20 minutes away from Bromont Ski resort but is also centrally located for visits to Sutton, Owls Head and Mt. Orford.

Apparently a sudden cold spell in early March had caused a pipe to burst on the upper floor, so the 2nd and 3rd floor were closed. We made the most of the low occupancy, playing fetch with our dog when no one was around.

Our room had a frig, micro, coffee maker and small stove, so it was easy to prepare breakfast and snacks in the evening. As we'd kept our dog in a crate during the day, it seemed unfair to crate him again in the evening so we returned with take out dinner each evening. The hotel has a spectacular restaurant, that is open in later in the week. We didn't have a chance to dine there, but the decor was quite striking.

I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the spa facilities. Upon arrival, I was delighted to learn that the "hammen" was a steam room with a wonderful eucalyptus scent. I used it every day and it was an unexpected treat. The hotel also has a large and well lit sauna, which I would have normally used if not for the steam room. If you enjoy this type of relaxation, it's marvellous; very clean and aromatic.

I'm sure the location is family friendly in the spring and certainly in the summer, as it is located on the shores of Lac Brome. In addition, there is a wildlife reserve behind the hotel, that would be interesting to explore with snowshoes or a canoe. During the winter, apart from waling on the frozen lake, there did not appear to be many activities for children.

Spring skiing in eastern Canada in Late march is a rarity and usually involves lots of slush. This year was a wonderful exception and our short trip was memorable. With luck, we'll visit again next year.

I hope this helps. SK

Room Tip: I suspect that even numbered rooms face the wildlife reserve, while odd numbered room face Lac Brome, but also the highway.
