We stayed here as we wanted to visit the amazing Wat Phu Tok. Having caught a bus from Nong Khai to Beung Kan we attempted to get a tuktuk to the guest house. Having woken the drivers from their midday slumbers none new of this place. Fortunately we had the telephone number of the Huenrewrabeing on our booking voucher and called the proprietor who immediately drove into town to pick us up.
This place is in a quiet village near Beung Kan near a small lake with three or so restaurants within walking distance.
The owner and his wife are charming and offered us a very warm welcome. Food is not provided but they produced homemade snacks and coffee for us every morning. The café and restaurants nearby serve good food at very reasonable prices.
Mine host even offered us the use of his motorbike which I gracefully declined since I often fall off!
Wat Phu Tok is an hour's drive from here and getting local transport was a little problematic. The owner solved this problem by offering to take us there, wait whilst we did our tourist bit and return us for just 1000 Baht.
When we left to catch a bus in Beung Kan for Nakhon Phanom again he drove us into town.
If you intend visiting Wat Phu Tok, I strongly recommend this guest house. The owners really do look after you. (My apologies to the owner for forgetting his name but I shall not forget him or his guest house).
