The location is perfect for people trying to escape crazy life of a megapolis - far away from any cities, quiet and secluded. That’s exactly what we’d been looking for and happy 100% with our choice.
The bungalow was cosy, bright and spacious - living room with couches, table, kettle and tv; bedroom with kingsize bed; toilet with separate shower and an additional one in a small yard outside. There was more than enough room and we’re just happy that we decided to look through hotels only with bungalows (villas), not with a unit block.
The best thing is that everything you need is within 1 min walk - your house, beach, pool, restaurant, gym - and the place itself is begging you to relax and forget about busy weekdays.
The food was delicious, although the variety of dishes is somewhat modest (they can email you the menu if you ask them).
The nearest village is 6 km to the south, there are couple of supermarkets and cafes there. You can get there in 30 min by bike, which hotel offers free of charge, or they can take you there by car for $10 one way.

Some additional info that may affect your stay:
Initially we were hoping to have hours long relaxed walks along the beach, but unfortunately learned that there were stray dogs and they are pretty aggressive. We found that it was safe to walk only about 1 km to the north along the beach - past adjacent hotel towards fishing houses. South of the hotel is a “no go” territory.
First week before the NY eve the weather was cool - about +25C, windy and sometimes rainy - so not the best for swimming and relaxing by the pool. Because of that half of our stay we had to spend indoors playing with our tablets and working out in gym. The second week was hot and the see became less choppy, which let us ride the kayaks.
Mattresses and pillows were not the most comfy, bud that’s subjective I guess.

Overall there are something like 16 bungalows in a vast area, so privacy is guarantied. Some days we barely even met other guests at all.
Personnel is kind and friendly always ready to help you out with everything.
The sea is shallow.
Child friendly.

Make sure you download some stargazing apps - the view is breathtaking. If you’re an AVgeek, some planespotting apps too - there are some airways intersecting just over the place.

To sum up, that couple of drawbacks weren’t a game changer at all. Overall experience was absolutely positive. 9 out of 10.

Visited here with family for 4 nights.
Fantastic location and great facilities.rooms are large and spacious.
They have a great pool as well as free kayaks, bikes, table tennis onsite. Also some animals and birds for the kids.

Resort and beach was really quiet so able to relax.Food was excellent, although need to visit ban crood for a bit of variety.

We hit Sirarun with 2 adults and 2 kids (2+6 years) in March 2017 for a week and enjoyed a very nice stay. The houses are nice, the pool is fine, the restaurant serves really nice thai food and the beach is wide and sandy. The service and the people seemed to be honestly (!) happy to accomodate us and made the stay to the best (!) station on our trip from Bkk to the south of Thailand.
Sirarun was only half booked even if it was high season. I actually have no idea why it was like this.
Before coming to Sirarun we stayed in 5star deluxe hotels as the Marriott and Anantara Hua Hin , which were also very nice, but Sirarun was a lot more relaxing than the places before. We had the feeling that we finally arrived in Thailand. If I have to point out something intermediate it would be the breakfast. Everything was fresh and made for us, but the choice of food couln't keep up with the hotels before. To be fair I have to admit that the Marriott charged 800 THB p.p. for the breakfast and therefore cannot be compared to Sirarun.
If you are looking for a place to relax and enjoy nature, Sirarun is really worth a visit. From here you can enjoy a trip to the (2) waterfalls, a lovely temple and a touristy town 5km away with some good and very cheap but very tasty thai restaurants.

My family and I just returned from a wonderful 4 days at this resort! The Beach is excellent! Very clean! the Sand is perfect for sand sculptures and castles!

Rooms are clean and can easily fit Five! Food at the restaurant is very good! Staff very friendly!

Took a couple of Day trips to waterfalls located nearby and were able to thoroughly enjoy the beauty of the Hills!

The waves on the beach were great for playing in this time!

Room Tip: All of the rooms are nice!
