Spent 7 nights at the hotel. Arrived late due to a flight delay initial room over the restaurant and noisy with a limited view of the lake. Asked to change room and was given a much quieter room with a lovely lake view. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. Breakfast has some variety but continental so no tomatoes, or mushrooms so heavily reliant on egg and cheese ( not sure how you would manage if you want a plant-based diet !). The hotel is remote and there are no taxis, we asked for a taxi to Orta and was quoted 50 euro return and it is only 3 miles away. You cannot walk due to busy roads so the only other this is by the scheduled boats which are only twice a day ( 0ne at 9.30 am other at 2.45 pm) and the return is 6 pm. Therefore would recommend hiring a car. Also, the hotel was busy with weddings on both weekends. On the whole, a lovely hotel and an excellent restaurant with amazing views over lake Orta.

This is a lovely hotel located about 10 minute drive from the historic centre of San Guilio. It is a well-run, family hotel with superb facilities.

We had a room with a balcony overhanging the lake & everything about it was superb. Some really nice touches too – for example, a ‘beach bag’ in the room kitted out with beach towels, free bottles of water on arrival & the fridge was left empty for you to put in your own wine, water etc. You can also order any extra drinks which are brought up to the room.
There's a superb roof top bar & also a lunchtime restaurant area on a terrace overlooking the lake. The formal dining room (evening restaurant) offered excellent quality food & a more ‘a la carte’ experience.

There is a good sized pool too, although in August most people tended to swim in the lake itself from the ‘beach area’.

The historic centre of Orta San Giulio pretty busy with tourists so we enjoyed being 1 short drive away as it was lovely and quiet and relaxed

Would definitely recommend this hotel for a relaxing stay on Lake Orta.

This hotel has a beautiful spot on the lake, great facilities, warm and helpful staff, and a ver good restaurant right on the lake. In addition the restaurant had safe gluten free options for one family member with celiac disease. The breakfast buffet had many tasty options and also offered lakeside dining. We enjoyed a kayak ride on the lake and appreciated kayaks being available at the hotel. It was a delightful stay.
