Very gentle owner makes tasty cappuccino like barista 😊 Breakfast is also very good. Very good service. I think the best breakfast in town. Its open from 7:30.

Opens at 7am and we were pleased as we heard the hotel breakfast wasn’t up to the mark serving instant coffee in a place like Lao!!!!

A real gem of a place to find in Sam Neua. Good coffee, but the carrot cake was to die for.
Cosy atmosphere, well decorated, friendly owner, all round, great little place.
Only thing I would suggest is a bit wider range of snack food other than cakes and biscuits.

I popped in to ask directions to the tourist office (literally at the end of the same block) and came back when I was done there.

I had a cappuccino (my first in Laos as have been drinking Lao Coffees) and it was a very welcome change. I was looking for breakfast food which they don't do, so I settled for a banana muffin (tasty & moist as muffins should be) and a fruit smoothie with the fruit of my choice - I chose everything in the fruit bowl so it had apple, pear, banana and dragon fruit and was delicious.
Whole thing came to 35,000kip.

When I asked about how/where to get a taxi for the caves, the lady actually rang one for me & he picked me up from there and took me off for the day for 300,000kip (this was also the price the tourist office told me so think it's pretty standard). Super helpful!

Definitely look this place up if you're passing through Sam Neua - there's not a whole lot else around.

We found this place easily after visiting the Tourist Office. A nice place to read the maps and figure out the "next move". The owner directed us across the street to try and find three motorbikes for rent (no luck - only one was available). But the Saffron coffee they serve is great and we were glad to have a place where we could colelct our thoughts before finding a guesthouse. Many guesthouses are within a 5-10 minute walk.
