The staff there mostly are unfriendly.I come with my family of 6 and booked 2 rooms. But we were given 2 rooms at different building. It does not make sense since we have booked the rooms a month before coming. It is not so convenient since we hope to stay just next door to make easy for us since we travelled together.Narrow stairs and no lift to go up. The breakfast is ok but to have coffee we have to pay extra charge of 4 Francs. It is quite unreasonable since coffee supposed to come with the breakfast. For the location, I think it is quite good since it is just next to the train station to go to Zurich and very near to the airport. The train to the airport just take about 10 minutes or so and cost 4+ francs for adult and half price for a children. THe cost of the room considerably cheap for a room in Zurich area which can be quite expensive. There is a halal grocery shop just next to the hotel entrance.

Booked this place for a 1 night lay over in Zurich, and did not want to spend too much money on a hotel. The biggest plus is that it is right by the tram station (route 10/12). Everything else is not palatable. The room floor creeks. The shared bathroom floors were dirty. The beds not comfortable, and the rooms really cold. The whole set up seems a bit shady to say the least.

In essence, if it were not for a safe town like Zurich, you might thought twice about spending even 1 night in this hotel. The included breakfast just about average.

I am a studying in Zürich, therefore I was looking for an affordable place to sleep. For 2 years I have stayed in this hotel every other week.

I must say that over these two years I have saved a huge amount of money, because nowhere in the entire Zürich region you will find a hotel as cheap as this.

Given the price you pay (around 40CHF per Night) it is clear that it is not a palace that awaits you there. But if you are not too fussy, it is alright. There is a bed, simple furniture, it is relatively clean, you get soaps and towels, there is a TV and Internet is also available. On top of that there is breakfast included; also parking is free of charge. If you need an internet connection – you can get access in the rooms (WiFi). Considering that you are in Zürich – the price is simply unbeatable.

Please pay attention:

-I would strongly recommend you to book a room with an own bathroom. I have experienced many times the shared bathroom facilities - sometimes it was alright, but trust me – most of the times I thought I was on a camping ground in a third world country.

-Be careful using the power plugs in the rooms, most of them are broken and look quite dangerous to me. Please watch your children!

-It happened three times that I have found myself in dirty sheets. In one occasion I even have found a band aid (full of blood) in my bed. Avoid complaining at the reception since the lack of professionalism will make you even angrier than you already are. I always had a sleeping bag in my car and could help myself in situations like this.

-In more than one occasion I have found my room unlocked when I returned after class. The rooms are very simply furbished and do not provide safes. I was told at the reception that housekeeping must have forgotten to lock the room… After the first incidence I always made sure to take everything out of the room in the mornings.

-Depending where your room is it can be very noisy. There is a pub downstairs – on Friday and Saturday nights there is loud music and people screaming all night. Don’t forget to bring earplugs and you are fine.

Last week I was once again there – but this time for the last time…

I was given a room in a building nearby. The bed was broken, so most of the other furniture. No TV, no internet, no light – shared bathroom. My room was clean but smelly; the bathroom was dirty and very smelly – simply not tolerable.
As a returning customer that stays there over and over again, I found it unacceptable to be banned in this horrible building…

I have complained at the reception and the manager told me: “Mr. XXXXX, I gave you the room on purpose. It is much bigger and nicer than the rooms in the main building, you should appreciate it!”

You must be f***** kidding me – NEVER AGAIN!!!

I was on a 12-hour overnight stopover in Zurich and this was the cheapest option for the night in Zurich (in fact half price of the next-cheapest hotel I found) so I didn't expect much and didn't need more than a room with a bed. I arrived at 9.30 PM, the place was still lively and there was someone at the reception in 5 minutes. My room was above the restaurant, clean, with a single bed and a washbasin. It's 20 min to Zurich by S-bahn, a little more by tram, both are right outside. I came back from a late stroll in town at around midnight and the area was fine and felt safe. I'd use this place again if I was in a similar situation.
