I stayed in the coach house which had recently been added to the main building. The standard double was large in hotel terms offering very spacious and well appointed accommodation. The bed was large with Egyptian cotton sheets. The bathroom was also large with a bath and walk in shower all of which was very modern and well appointed. The only criticism I could make was the breakfast. Excellent porridge but please invest in a decent coffee machine (espresso maker) and get rid of the waste of space you currently use. Finally (and I know times are tough) serve some fresh orange juice. Overall 9/10 for fabulous accommodation though.

We had our wedding on NYE and have stayed for a couples night away since. The team, venue and food are amazing. The staff are friendly, food is delicious and the venue is clean, modern and stylish. You won’t be disappointed. Claire & Adam Wilkins

I went with my family on 27 Dec, staying only 1 night. At first we booked the hotel without too much expectation judging by its star rating, turned out the experience in the hotel was really good.

It is a small hotel but looks very traditional and the interior decoration give us a very relaxing feeling of the country side. The reception area, the corridor and the restaurants all looks very nice. There is a small elevator to bring us to second floor, very helpful as I was loaded with baggages, rooms are spacious, my two kids are happier to see their small beds, there are snack biscuits in the rooms given by the hotel, we all found it quite delicious, internet with good speed, kids can select the children channel from the TV while my wife busy around checking all the facilities, she was really pleased to find the air conditioner can produce warm air, she then moved on with the toilet and it is spacious and tidy with both a tub and shower area, awesome!

We went to the restaurant for dinner, again the restaurant decorations was really traditional but well maintained, you don't get the feeling of old instead it felt warm and cozy there are few fire places. Staff are very polite in servicing, nothing else can beat the customer service.

I think this hotel deserved to be ranked higher, and I would recommend to stay there for a visit in Windsor, it's just 10 to 15 driving to Legoland and Windsor castle.

A lovely hotel in a nice quiet area, ample parking outside.
When I arrived the staff were all very helpful and friendly, I made a reservation for dinner in the restaurant - food was very well priced and delicious.
My room was spacious and bright, I was on the top floor and had a very nice clean and warm room.
The bed was very comfortable and I got a good nights sleep.
In the morning I had a hot buffet breakfast which was very tasty as well.
All round a lovely place to stay if visiting the Windsor area, the hotel was recommended to me and I would pass on the recommendation.
I will stay again if in the area.

Just returned from a visit to Lapland uk with my 9 year old daughter and stayed at Stirrups hotel for 2 nights - I can honestly say it was absolutely perfect, the hotel is lovely place and the staff really were some of the nicest I've ever met, hotel was very clean & tidy and our room was toasty warm, there was a really good wifi connection and the food in the restaurant was tasty with good portion sizes and was reasonably priced - I think the hotel is an old coaching house so has a very traditional feel to it with exposed oak beams and open fires (although they are run by gas now but still looks the part!!!) The hotel was decorated traditionally and tastefully for Christmas which really got us in the mood for our trip to lapland uk - we also had a fall of snow which added to the magic and my daughter spent ages running around the garden enjoying seeing snow for the first time in a few years. The dining pods looked amazing too, not sure if they are a left over addition from the pandemic but they really are very pretty and if I was on a different sort of visit with my significant other I probably would have hired one of the pods for a romantic evening of dinning!!! The hotel is ideally situated - it looks as though you're in a cut off rural area with nothing much around but Lapland uk is approximately 15 minutes away from the hotel by car (but I think there was a road closure at the time of our visit so it might be more like 10 mins) there is a tesco superstore just 5 mins from the hotel - we had a twilight visit to lapland uk so knew the restaurant would be closed when we got back so stocked up on sandwiches and snacks from tescos but there's also a garage there for fuel if you need it. There's a pub called the Cricketers less than 5 mins away which we wanted to visit but ran out of time, which again looked tradidional and very fitting. On our last morning, we missed breakfast at the hotel but were too early for lunch so we left our vehicle at the hotel after checkout at 11 o'clock (agreed with the reception staff) and headed directly opposite the hotel to Oaktree garden centre where the café served breakfast/brunch until 2pm - again good portions, tasty and reasonably priced - however given the nature of building (it is a garden centre after all!!!) it was quite cold in the café so wrap up warm - also take plenty of money for the amazing Christmas decorations the garden centre was selling - you won't be able to leave empty handed!!!!!
