This was quite nice considerimg. I wasnt too sure about the place after some reviews but the room was fairly clean and we had a maid service each day. We could sleep 6 if pushed which made the two of us with loads of room. Self catering was the deal and we had everything we needed. A shop really close was perfect. I would certainly recommend this place for the price. Great staff as well.

Unfortunately the Parque Mourabel Apartments are dated & shabby. Having stayed a week in a Pé-Do-Lago superior apartment which includes a safe & air-con. I shudder to think what a standard room is like. The free WiFi is only available in reception, (not reliable) password is changed every 3 days.
The bedroom had 2 beds & a double wardrobe. Small bathroom with shower over the bath, shower curtain was a tad shabby. Well equipped kitchen with breakfast bar. Small patio with table and chairs. Television has only 3 English channels one being sky news so don't expect too much especially if you have children. Free courtesy mini bus to the marina every day at 9am & 11am from outside reception. Or if you prefer it's a lovely 30 minute walk to and from the beach & marina. Sunlounges and umbrella can be hired for €11euros per half day or €16.40 for a full day at the beach. Beware of the "Looky" men who can be persistent & annoying with their fake bags and purses. The PR lady - Fiona at reception needs to smile more, not a very good advert for public relations proper miserable...
If you want a quiet, cheap, basic holiday with the odd bawdy stag do thrown in then this is for you. Little shop tucked away behind the Indian restaurant stocks all the essentials, not as big as the Spa supermarket 5 minutes down the road but just as good.

Stayed here for a week in September and found it to meet all of our needs. My Mam and I stayed in a studio apartment in the oasis side of the resort which we could not fault. A little dated in decor but no more than other holiday apartments. The studio had everything we needed and most items such as kettle and iron were brand new. We had a lovely corner balcony. The apartments and pool area were so quiet and allowed for a very chilled holiday.
We were greeted and showed around by Fiona who was very helpful and friendly. Most reception staff were the same to be honest and helped with directions, taxi bookings and restaurant reservations. Bar staff were funny characters who appeared to both be called Fernando and charged a different price for wine each time but only by a Euro so not worth arguing over! We booked a trip through the hotel and this was very well organised and easy going. We had the delight of meeting Lance, who is a local resident but is more like a member of staff, he came along on our trip as our guide and was a very lovely and witty man. The entertainment was quite good for a small hotel, the usual karaoke and do not miss Elvis, he is such a diva and was more like a comedy act without him realising ha ha.
Lots of guests we spoke to were returning customers and were all very friendly.
Whole hotel very clean and pool area well landscaped.
The hotel is a 30 minute walk from Vilamoura and it is a pleasant walk through a park type area. Very safe area. The hotel offers a shuttle bus which we never actually used but the driver was very friendly and funny! The hotel will call you an Uber which appeared to be €7 to anywhere in the area, public taxis on the return journey were a little cheaper. The land train also stops outside and the public bus routes to faro and albefuira were a short walk away too.
There is a cheap mini supermarket minutes walk from the reception which was well stocked with a lovely bakery (try the ham and cheese croissant) and the staff were very nice.
Only downsides were the bathroom was tiny which was only a real problem during a middle of the night half asleep nature call when we stumbled into things! Not the end of the world though! Towards the end of the week our cleavers did not arrive until very late (after 5pm) which was not ideal as we had wanted to be showered but needed the fresh towels. We were on the second floor with 36 steps to our apartment which for two fit ladies wasn’t a huge problem except for humping the luggage on arrival and departure days. It added to our exercise on the holiday but can appreciate it may be an issue for some. Overall a great base for a holiday and I would return in a heartbeat!

Stayed for 3 nights on a self catering tariff. I was in one of the other buildings down the road which did not have a reception area. No phone in room to take an early morning call if required. However I could make use of all three premises and the facilities in each. I had a car hire so it was easy to reach Villamoura centre, marina, beach. However it is quite a way out from this if walking.
I would have preferred to be nearer the centre.
It was quite a drab apartment block with very poor to no passage and corridor lighting making it initially difficult to find the door lock.
The apartment was spacious and well equipped.
I mentioned to reception that a kettle was missing and they must have gone out and bought one because when it came it was boxed and new.
Overall at £20 a night it is good value if that is what you want.

flights and transfers with jet2 were great, hotel on other hand was a let down,we arrived around 13.30 hrs ,ckeck in at 16.00hrs ,we could not check in early as our room was not ready yet.we were given a brief outline of the complex by Fiona the customer service liason and we could sit in the bar and relax while we waited for our room.when we were taken to our room in block B on the ground floor the shutters were down over the sliding doors and a small window.once we opened the shutters we noticed that the superiour studio had not been cleaned from the last occupants.the bed sheets were not changed, bath room not cleaned, kitchen and bath room bin full and food still in the fridge.i went up to reception to complain about this, and they said that house keeping work till 6pm and that our room would be cleaned.surely your room should be ready for you when they hand you the keys not you sat there waiting for the cleaners.6pm came and went,no cleaner.another trip up to reception to complain and was pointed in the direction of the head of house keeping, she said some one would be down to sort it out,no sign of any body saying sorry for the problem.to say the studio was meant to be a supierour one it certainly was not.the door let in lots of light in on an evening from the stair way.we were right at the back of the complex next to the main road and the terrace was over grown and blocked the view from the studio.

Room Tip: stop some where else
