Very nice pleasant hotel staff in good setting. Easy for the beach & town with plenty of restaurants & cafes. hotel a bit dated as mentioned in other reviews, but very clean & towels changed daily. Breakfast was buffet style & was satisfactory, evening meal was waitress served, & was reasonable but lacked imagination, we managed to eat out a few times even though we paid for half board. The blue parrot across the road was very good & we would highly recommend it. overall a good holiday & we would possibly go back again.

Room Tip: we were on 1st floor up & facing second sunbathing area, very Quiet.( pool downstairs on ground floor)

Recently spent a week at this hotel,a jet2 package we chose...A nearby beach and a quieter resort (more so than the busier ones on the Algarve) rubber stamped our choice...Hotel suited our needs,it was very clean, staff were nice and friendly..We had a B&B booking but did eat in the hotel one evening...A set menu with not too many choices, food was served quickly and was hot..There are lots of Bars and Restaurants around the area so plenty of choices to dine out..Beach was nearby, but they do charge for beds and Parasols, each hotel has its allotted space the hotel gives you a 20% discount on the price,we didn't sit on the beach so unsure of cost..There is a very reasonably priced Spar around corner from hotel, and also there is a small fridge in your room..We did a Trip to Seville with a local tour compay 36eurospp,as its a earlish start its worth taking a drink and snack with you,as the service station you stop en-route gets very busy and you only have half an hour...Get about 4 and half hours in this amazing city...We got the local bus to Vila Real de Santo Antonio, about a 15min bus trip, well worth a visit lovely Marina and lots of shops, bars and eateries..We got a taxi back to Monto Gordo,as not much difference in price to Bus..Sat around Pool a few afternoons at the Casablanca, they have happy hour on 11-30am-6pm.25% discount on drinks except Tea and Coffee..Had some lovely Cocktails...Tourist info by the beach is only open Mon-Fri,closed SAT/SUN..Try Willem Bar (Holland Bar )opp beach had some lovely Iced Frappe, and decent wicker chairs that supported your back..

Stayed for 10 nights in September 2017. Hotel very clean and tidy, dated decor in places but does not detract from overall experience. Rooms were cleaned every day with clean towels which was excellent. Breakfast was acceptable for B&B, quality of products not the best but edible, didn't eat in the evening as the menu didn't inspire us and there are plenty of good quality restaurants to eat at within the resort.
Staff were helpful and friendly
Excellent cafe across the road, The Blue Parrot, highly recommend to eat there
Overall very satisfied with the hotel and would recommend anyone to stay here for a restful break

It's 1.50am and the square outside is full of Portuguese teenagers playing football, shouting and yelling. I'm as easy-going as you like normally but enough already! Go to bed!! I just had to go out to my balcony to ask them to be quiet.
The hotel is nice, basic but clean and comfortable. It's just the location at night-time - the square seems to be a hub for noisy kids. Be nice if the reception staff could ask them to quieten down but hey-ho....

We usually prefer higher end Hotels but our stay at the Casablanca Inn in Monte Gordo has made us re-think this as for a cheap get a way this hotel was perfect! It is in a square facing a short stroll down the road to the beautiful sandy beach.
The hotel itself is in traditional Portuguese stile and the rooms although a little dated are spotlessly clean.Just 2 floors high this small hotel does have a lift.
The staff are excellent they are extremely helpful and welcoming, especially the Maids The pool is small but is kept very clean along with the surrounding sun loungers and the 1st floor patio area by staff.
Breakfast is buffet style with plenty of choice .they offer a small menu for snacks to purchase up to 3pm. Evening meal choices (which we did not have) are more limited.
We had several cocktails during happy hour in the bar area and the Bartenders are very knowledgeable.
We booked an early trip to Seville and the Hotel provided us with a packed lunch.
In the local area there are lots of bars and restaurants with plenty of variety. This is a Portuguese sea side resort so the shops reflect this. You can easily travel along the coast by bus to other towns and villages for a reasonable price.
We would definitely stay here again for a relaxing break!
