Stayed there in a lovely sea view room.
The hotel staff are so friendly and helpful.
Food is excellent and lots to choose from the buffet style breakfast and dinners.
The location is perfect for beach life and the centre of town is only a five minute walk from the hotel.
Perfect hotel for families and couples.

Our first time in Portugal and it couldn't have been better. The room was huge, with the separate living room, and kitchen. There didn't seem much choice with the meals, but everything we had was very good. The cocktail bar was a nice place to relax at the end of the day. There were plenty of beds around the pool, so you didn't have to rush down to get one. The only thing I didn't like was how cold the outdoor pool was!

Very good apart hotel with big rooms; very clean and tidy. The also have a good breakfast to be served on the ground floor. The location is absolutely fantastic - in front of the beach - sun chairs and umbrellas available.

Room Tip: with sea view

We stayed as a family of four in a side sea view room self catering. The hotel is beautiful, very very clean, modern, with helpful staff and worthy of its 4 stars.
The rooms are spacious and well equipped however one tiny thing was there was no kettle in our room. You maybe able to request one if needed or use the coffee machine as a kettle and this may has just been our room. The rooms were cleaned 6 times in the week and to a good standard.
Walking to the room from the lobby is very pleasant with lovely wide corridors with modern decor.
The swimming pool and child's pool are very clean and catch enough sun throughout the day. There were plenty of sun beds and umbrellas to go around. The snack bar was very nice too situated next to the pool, a little pricey though. The beach is basically out of the back gate and what a fantastic huge beach it is.

The resort if self disappointed us. It was a typical Algarve resort which was pleasant but there was no where to have a proper meal of a night. If you wanted an omelette or toasty then there are plenty of places. But if you look forward to eating out of a night and you don't want fish or pizza you'll be disappointed. I couldn't find a restaurant that sold a steak and some didn't even do any chicken dishes. If you have children you'll struggle to find s children's menu.

As it's clearly full of Spanish holiday makers this maybe the way the Spanish are but going further along the coast to other resorts like ferragudo every other place is a pleasant restaurant with a extensive menu. Most of the places in Monte Gordo had 1 a4 sheet as a menu.

If I could pick the hotel and beach up and move it to another resort I wouldn't holiday anywhere else ever again.

Hotel with fair facilities for a 4 stars
Hotel. Amazing location, 5 min walk to the beach and pool all in the same place. Food is fair.
Customer service quite bad it seems they didn't care for the customers, wifi on the rooms doesn't exist, is fake publicity and even they didn't tried to solve it, there is only wifi connection no internet. For the breakfast we needed to wait 10-15min to seat, there was always queues to enter to the restaurant. The parking is paid and quite high, 10 euros per day. The TV was quite small 21 inches. The game rooms half of the machines were broken :(
Overall for the money expend for the quality/value relationship and what they describe is quite low quality. For a for start hotel I expected better customer experience and more proactive and friendly employees.
