Very nice and quite. No much white sand and rather small stones. It's in the village and very convenient. We loved it

Nice volcanic beach - a Variation from the sandy beaches Corsica offers so many of.
Short (10 min) walk from the parking lot, no Problem with sandals.

Try to use local maps and find a part of the beach I seem to remember as "Ricciacciu" (cannot find it on Google Maps under this name). It is right at the entrance of the Fango Delta close to an old watchtower for Galeria. Canoe can be rented and the Delta can be explored by boat. If you choose to stay on the beach, you have a beautiful view of the Delta and the mountains.

The surface of the beach is rocky (but rocks softened and roundened by the water). The sea is deep blue and there can be nice waves.

We saw a couple of nude (sun) bathers and this seems to be typial for the region.

The beach was almost deserted in June, so it made up for its slightly below average beauty for Corsica with its solitude and roughness. No restaurant, no toilets.

Recommended!

Crystal clear water, vibrant with life. Wonderful. Many types of fish in a calm bay. Be careful not to disturb the wildlife.

The town Galeria was in general a quiet town that it felt like they unfortunately had to accept tourists but they rather not. The beach was nice but the stones, although beautiful, made it quite hard to walk barefoot, swim shoes of some sort are recommended. It is a beautiful view and it was nice that it was not very busy with people or any salesmen at all. We snorkelled and could see some pretty fish close to shore. The best place we found was actually to the side of the beach, a stony place with a small lagoon that we were the only one to find on that day at least. To get to it take a small trail from the road above the beach, right after what looked like an abandoned garden after the graveyard walking in the direction from Galeria.

On an island surrounded by excellent white sand beaches and clear blue water the gritty beach at galeria is a disappointment. Yes the water is beautiful and clear and clean.. But I like to lie on sand.. So a short drive to Calvi and you have multiple choices of gorgeous sandy beaches.
