Just had a wonderful 3 night stay at The Shoulder of Mutton in Kirkby Overblow, near Harrogate and would definitely recommend this place.

We stayed in the Swaledale room which is just across the courtyard from the pub in one side of a converted barn.

The room was excellent, very fresh and clean, the bed was extremely comfortable, the shower was very powerful, with some lovely toiletries and good quality towels and dressing gowns.

As we stayed during Covid-19 there were restrictions in place, we couldn't sit inside the pub but they have a lovely beer garden where we enjoyed 3 perfect nights having a few drinks.

Breakfast was very tasty, a good size plate full with quality food and plenty of choice. We had 3 excellent evening meals with them, again plenty of quality meals to choose from. We also sampled one of their lovely homemade pizzas from their outside pizza hut within their beer garden.

We must also mention what a wonderful team of staff they have, they were all very friendly and made us feel very welcome. Thank you to Kate for her help and advice whilst booking and arranging our stay, we will definitely be visiting the Shoulder of Mutton again.

Our release from lockdown saw us come here. The staff were friendly and attentive. The food fantastic and tasty. Beer garden is well spaced for Covid separation rules. Even the little ones in our party had enough room to have a run round the table without disturbing others nearby
