Situated on the banks of the River Tua, and across the medieval bridge, the hotel is located in the quiet district of the city of Mirandela, not Bragança.
The hotel has good facilities.
The hotel is false advertising. It has a pool that is not clean (which is not treated for several months).
The host can not think of taking a bath! Although the employee had gone in the room, the thermostat does not work, in the air conditioned.
We slept with a high temperature.
By express order of the owner of the hotel guests are forbidden to take photographs inside the hotel!
Must be an attempt to avoid shoot cracks (over 1 cm.de thickness) that has the ceiling, floor and walls from top to bottom, on all floors and terreo.
.The price is expensive for current conditions. Perhaps because the privileged position of the hotel, the owner has no interest in pleasing the guests.
I do not recommend, unless you like strong emotion.

This hotel is actually in the town of Mirandela not Braganca which is about an hour's drive away.
"Grande" is something of a misnomer for this modern edifice which spoils the view from the south side of the river. However, this is a good thing for the guests since the view from one side of the hotel itself is magnificent. It overlooks the old Roman footbridge and the river. The outdoor pool, sunbathing area and tennis courts are also adjacent to the river. Rooms on this side also have a balcony.
The other side of the hotel where the main entrance is to be found in contrast looks over residential flats. So a room on the river side is to be requested especially as there seems to be no difference in price. Strangely all the rooms on the river side have double beds whereas those on the street side have twins or a double and twin. Hard luck if you have children sharing your room and you need two beds but prefer the river view!
The hotel rooms are clean and bright with nice bathrooms. The carpets in the corridors need cleaning and some redecoration in the public areas wouldn't go amiss. However, the hotel is within walking distance of everything Mirandela has to offer and good value for money. Breakfast was good.
